Proyecto FarFalle

You can come to the Canary Islands at any time of the year and because of its good climate and leisure offer, you will never get bored. One of these attractions is its beaches where all kinds of water sports are practiced. In FarFalle Project we propose a different nautical activity. Board our sailboat and go sailing through the Atlantic to enjoy an experience at sea but also learn about the effects of pollution on it.

We will take you on scientific tourism around the islands accompanied by scientists who will detail, based on different activities, how spills, plastic, etc. are affecting marine fauna and flora. How? We have set up a laboratory on our sailboat. Therefore, in our outings you will have research and leisure.

You can choose between two durations to enjoy our activities: half a day (between 3 and 4 hours) or full day (between 6 and 7 hours). In both cases you will participate in:

• The collection of the network in which you will observe microplastic samples and the different organisms (plants and animals).
• We will go out to look for mammals to study their biology.
• Not only will you see the plastic in the net, we will freediving through the cliffs so that you can see, first-hand, the large amount of plastics stagnant in the sea.
• You will have free time to take a bath and snorkel freely.

With our activities we intend to sensitize visitors to the importance of conserving the seabed. Therefore, we will combine leisure with science.
