El Tío Carrascón

We are a farm-school located in Cerveruela (Zaragoza) that has the objective of organizing activities for families, groups of friends, companies or associations that want to learn more about the rural world.

In El Tío Carrascón you will be in a quiet place between mountains and very close to the Huerva river. We organize English camps, workshops of varied themes, hiking trails and ornithology courses.

• The workshops will be about animals, the garden, food transformation, crafts, recycling, nature. Instructional workshops in which you and your children will learn a lot.

• Our hiking activities will take you through Cerveruela and San Bartolomé. Simple routes that you can do as a family. We will not exceed 15 kilometers of distance traveled.

• As for the ornithology that we will practice, it will be at a beginner level. We will see many spectacular birds such as vultures, cuckoos, sparrows, swallows or golden eagles.

• You can also enroll your child if he is between 6 and 12 years old to our English camp . They will have activities in which they will combine English and Spanish.

The Uncle Carrascón Hiking brings you routes for the whole family through Zaragoza . You can go with one of our guides with prior notice.

• Route through Cerveruela: 16 kilometers of expedition at a moderate level contemplating the most important of this charming area of Aragon.

• Route to San Bartolomé: from Cerveruela we will travel about 12 kilometers at a simple pace suitable for any age.

• Route through San Bartolomé: about 12 kilometers of visit through this city where we will see the town hall or the peak of San Bartolomé. Easy level.

Enroll your child as many weeks as you like in a bilingual English and Spanish camp during the months of July and August. In Cerveruela (Zaragoza) there is our camp for children between 6 and 12 years old .

Our camp is very focused on the rural world. Children will learn this essential language through farm activities taught in that language. In this way they will learn about the garden, nature, food processing or recycling.

They will take baths in the river and we will see to it that they have a great time. We will do many excursions to learn more about nature. They will have many friends in no time. It will be the best summer of their lives.

They will have a full board with homemade meals and will be watched 24 hours a day by our monitors. They will sleep in our hostel.

We offer introductory courses to ornithology throughout the year. You can choose the duration of these courses, between one or several days. On some occasions we will organize guided routes to learn about the different types of birds found in Cerveruela (Zaragoza).

We will see newborn birds, wild wild nests, vultures, golden eagles, gray herons, woodpeckers, swallows, wagtails, sparrows, cuckoos, etc. You will see their eggs, how they hatch, how they live and much more. An authentic adventure in which you will learn everything about ornithology.

At the farm-school El Tío Carrascón you can enjoy and spend an unforgettable time with the farm animals.

Come visit us and get acquainted with them, discover their characteristics, feed them and get in touch with them little by little.

You will be able to photograph yourself with the sheep, caress the farm mare, observe how the lambs suckle the sheep, and the children will also be able to ride the donkey.

The duration of the visit is approximately an hour and a half and during that time you will be accompanied by a monitor who will explain everything you need and answer all your questions.

In addition, so that the children are more comfortable and have more confidence when it comes to touching the animals, we make the individual visits , that is, we do not mix people who do not know each other, but each one receive a personalized and individual experience.

You can come as a family or in a group 365 days a year, by appointment.
