La Manreana

At La Manreana we want to share our knowledge about the countryside and animals with all the groups that we can. We do this because, not only do we care about the leisure time of visitors, but we want to make it an important task for personal development and caring for the environment.
To do this, we open the doors of our facilities, made up of a couple of neighborhood houses with the comforts that every hostel needs. They are also nourished with suitable spaces for sports and in all those areas in which farm species are the protagonists. Participants in our activities can feed the horses, play with the goats or help out in the garden.

The main destinations of our work are:

- The school groups : throughout the year, we elaborate various educational proposals to receive those schools that want their excursions to be aimed at learning about nature and the way of life in the countryside .

- The colonies : between the end of June and September, we extend our colonies that we organize with and without English, for different age groups.

- Families and groups : all of you are well received if what you want is to revive your spirit in connection with nature. Therefore, in addition to visiting us to get to know our farm, you can make your celebrations with us.

Vimferri, the new Wildlife Center

Now you can also take a tour of native and foreign species in our nature center where our professionals will accompany you on a guided and interpreted tour.

In La Manreana we have chosen to take another step in the dissemination of fauna and for this reason we have concentrated our efforts on the opening of a new Nature and Fauna Center, which we inaugurated in the month of May 2016 with the name of Vimferri.

With the culmination of our work, and that of many collaborators who believed in our project, today we have a space in which visitors have the opportunity to:

- Approaching native species that they hadn't noticed before : many times we go to a zoo focused on the search for the animals that we see in documentaries from other parts of the world. However, the peninsular fauna is rich and is made up of species that we have to conserve. This is the case of the fox, different types of birds and raptors in particular that occupy a priority role in the development of the fauna of the environment.

- Have access to animals that do not live naturally in our ecosystem : such as ostriches, some beautiful and gigantic birds that take all the curiosity of those who come to meet us.

- Learn what we can do to conserve the planet : La Manreana experts explain the characteristics of each animal and how human actions influence its survival.

Every new summer awaits us, in the area of Les Garrigues, that one day it was a farmhouse destined to cover its inhabitants during their life in the countryside. Now, La Manreana welcomes us to be part of its English Camps in facilities that have been adapted over time so that students have at their disposal everything they need for a unique and educational holiday.

Our summer camp is considered as a linguistic immersion, which means that the participants will be in direct and continuous contact with the Anglo-Saxon language. This is achieved by integrating bilingual and native staff in our team of monitors. At the same time, they will ensure that all organized activities use this language as the only vehicle of communication.

The advantages of the camp in La Manreana are clear:

- We give you ease when choosing dates as we usually plan several shifts, usually from the end of June until reaching August.

- The shifts will also be closely related to the ages of boys and girls, since it is important to group them according to their abilities and level of English, depending on whether they are still small children or almost teenagers.

- Nature, animals and the development of the tasks of a farm, help them to evolve as people and become aware of the importance of caring for the world in which they grow.

The summer colonies in La Manreana , are soaked in the chores of the countryside to make the children reach a way of life that most of them feel very far.

We focus this type of stay in the month of August, placing the shifts in a first program of 2 weeks for ages between 9 and 15 years , and a second coexistence that is limited to 7 days to make it more suitable for children between 5 and 8 years old .

- What are the facilities that will serve as accommodation? : They are made up of two colonial houses that we usually use simultaneously to house a single group. In addition to the pens and gardens of a farm, we have large sports areas and large classrooms where workshops and activities have a place.

- What will our children do during the camp? : Our school farm character has a direct impact on activities. Thus children have the opportunity to collaborate taking care of animals, the garden or learn how to use a bread oven. However, we do not give up excursions, games and sports that usually have a place in the usual colonies.

- What should we keep in mind so as not to run out of space? : We usually receive the inscriptions from February to June. Don't forget that sibling registration is cheaper.
