With a multitude of routes you can explore from inside, whether it's in the enchanted Disney-like forests or the large reservoirs where you can navigate across effortlessly, we can say that canoeing in Trillo or Sacedón (depending on the route) is for everyone.

For example, if you are a parent looking for a fun activity with which to invest quality time with your children... Easy! We will head for the beautiful Molino reservoir, where not only is it easy to navigate and paddle across its waters, but it also is a uniquely beautiful corner. During this route, which you will be able to do on double-seater canoes, we will find ourselves invaded by beautiful green pine forests and, as a secret that only we regulars know about this route, a small cave that hides the reservoir. Will you be able to find it?

But now, what if we are a group of friends who are not afraid of anything and have already tried the pleasures of this sport? The answer to your quest for adrenaline can be found in the longest river in Spain, ready for soak up in it and let it soak us up. Yes, the Tagus or ‘Tajo’ river is part of our itinerary, more specifically the Upper Tagus. This mighty river challenges us to paddle across its rough waters with our single or double canoes, according to the adventurers’ preferences. For this activity we usually stay in the small town of Taravilla, here you can park your car easily and enjoy a beer with friends in this rustic village of Guadalajara.

Friends, family... and what about those soft romantics who are looking to surprise their long-life partner? If you are nature lovers, there is also a place for you in the waters of Guadalajara. Perhaps one of the best options is in the village of Zorita de los Canes, this canoe route along a calm and crystalline Tagus is breathtakingly beautiful. The nature and the views of this small town are exciting, but the crown jewel of this canoe route along the Tajo River is undoubtedly the remains of an old castle of a Visigoth town. A perfect souvenir for a couple of lovebirds who enjoy nature and tranquillity.

We have talked about a way of canoeing from a rather general approach, haven't we? But we can also separate another way of canoeing. There is a more extreme and competitive canoeing, where the rapids will splash us with adrenaline through a mischievous Upper Tajo stretch. Here excitement is guaranteed and, in many cases, it requires for us to have an advanced level, as some sections require a certain skill. This last way in which you can do canoeing is alone. Because there are some adventures that you must venture on your own too, especially if you are facing some rapids.

The duration of the activity will depend on your physical or personal predisposition. There are 1-hour and 4-hour canoeing routes. You simply have to take into account the difficulty of the stretch and your physical conditions, and we leave the rest to the reader’s criteria.
