Canoe route in the Tormes River 2 hours Adults

Come discover the Tormes River by canoe, as it passes through Ledesma with this great offer. Our canoes are self-emptying, unsinkable and highly stable, making them suitable for beginners or family groups. Its capacity is two adults with a child up to 8-9 years old.

We begin with an explanation on land of the basic paleo movements, prevention measures and the route to follow, with special emphasis on the highest risk points. Once in the water we made a round trip of about 4 km in total, we left and arrived at the same point, going against the current and returning in favor to make it easier.

To go up the river we must pass on foot a small dam built with rocks (fishing) and later after passing under the Villa bridges, an area that we call "the rapids" although it is really a small current caused by the collapse of another dam of small sizes of rocks from a mill, this challenge is always difficult although without risk because the area is not deep and we are equipped with a case and vest to protect us from possible blows.

Canoeing routes are available between the months of June and September. If the weather is good, it can also be done in April, May and, after the summer, in October.
