Description of Descent of the river Alagón in canoeLive a real adventure in canoe through the river Alagón! This river, the largest affluent of the river Tajo, starts in Salamanca and runs through Castilla y León and Extremadura.
In this descent, we will travel 4 miles before its mouth in the Reservoir of Gabriel and Galán. Specifically, we will depart from the Natural Park of Batuecas - Sierra de Francia and we will end up in Las Hurdes, in the region of Cáceres.
It will be a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes where no previous experience is required because the level of difficulty is easy, because it has no risky ways. The only necessary requirement is know to swim and be older than 12 years old.
We will provide you a double canoe and all the required security equipment: helmet and life vest, and in cold seasons a neoprene wetsuit and socks. A monitor or professional guide will previously explain the necessary guidelines and subsequently will accompany during all the route, in order to ensure your security.
