Description of Canyon descent La Toba High Level Picos de Europa

In Picos de Europa awaits a very special canyon: La Toba. This is an advanced-level canyon that will take approximately 4 hours to complete and which has a length of 450 metres. Located at the river Deva, by the La Hermida descent this descent is a real challenge for canyoning lovers.

Only the ascent itself is an adventure in the nature during which you will spend 1 hour climbing until arriving a the top of the night. Then, we will star the descent across La Toba, which has a 300 metres drop, and has up to 18 rappels, including one which has the brutal length of 50 metres, and has an oblitatory stop.

There is also a 25-metres slippery ramp that finishes in a naturlal pool where you will be able to take a dip in the water with your companions. The slides and jumps that complete this adventure make this a true challenge even for the most prepared and experienced ones that, apart from completing this canyoning route and doing sports for a several hours, will also be able to enjoy the incredible views of Picos de Europa, making this an even more gratifying experience.

The return will take some 5 minutes and it will be carried out by the side of the river Deva, and putting an end to one of the best experiences one can enjoy in Cantabria.
