Descent of the Los Papúos ravine Medium level

The Garganta de los Papúos ravine is one of the best ravines in central Spain, which is why we believe that you should come and do canyoning here. And not only because of the countless maneuvers that you must overcome, but also because of the impressive views of the landscape.

It is located in the heart of the Jerte Valley, in Cáceres, and it only takes two hours to get there from Madrid. You will be accompanied by a professional instructor, so it will not be necessary for you to have previous experience, because he will help you in all the steps of the descent.

Specifically, this ravine has 5 rappels of up to 30 meters, 6 slides and shuttles of up to 10 meters, and 2 jumps of 8 and 6 meters. It also has handrails and progression in areas of rock chaos. First we will give you brief instructions, and it will take about 40 minutes to reach the starting point of the activity.

We will carry all the necessary technical equipment: helmet for each one, harness, carabiners, descender and anchor rope. We will also provide you with a neoprene jacket, pants and socks, and a waterproof bottle for every two people; but you should bring spare dry clothes, boots or slippers that prevent slipping, a swimsuit, a towel and something to snack on.

It will be an essential requirement that you know how to swim.
