Description of Papúos Canyon at Jerte

Enjoy canyoning in a privileged location: Valle del Jerte. In this paradisiacal place, we'll be able to descent the Papúos canyon, one of the most stunning ones in the region.

How does this activity work? Very simple. We'll meet in Jeter's Tourism Office and we'll pick you up in our car to go to the canyon, in case you need transportation. Once we get there you won't be able to come back, so you'll have to face your fears and go on! We don't require previous experience in order to enjoy this activity.

Professional instructors will accompany you all the time so they can help you in case you need any and provide you with the necessary safety and technical equipment for this route. This includes the wetsuit, harness, wet shoes and the helmet, amongst other things. Once we're ready we'll start the adventure!

This canyon will take us from 5 to 6 hours and this route has an intermediate level, which means facing:

5 abseiling sections of 11, 17, 24 and even 30 meters
5 sleds which will reach 10 meters
2 jumps of 6 and 8 meters

The minimum age to enjoy this activity is 12 years old and minors should be accompanied by an adult. We recommend you to bring sports footwear, another one of spare, swimsuit and a towel.
