Ascent to the Cueva de los Chorros and Mundo river, 4h

We propose a hiking route of about 3-4 hours through the sites of the Natural Park of the Calares del Río Mundo, in Albacete, to the cave of Los Chorros.

Staying early in the morning at the port of Arenal to go by car to the parking lot of Los Chorros and where the walk will begin.

The route is not very long, they are only about 6 kilometers, but the "complicated" thing is to go up to the cave with the existing great height difference, you even have to cross a part of the Mundo River where the slope is notorious.

The ascent will continue to the highest part called "the great wall" in which we will be helped by handrails, anchor lines, and harnesses to be able to pass it. We will enter the first part of the cave and we can see how cold the water comes from the Calar de la Sima.

We will rest and recharge batteries with a mini lunch while we enjoy the Sierra de Alcaraz and descend again to the starting point.

We recommend this route due to the high landscape value it has and, without a doubt, for those who love hiking, it is wonderful to travel this section through the Mundo River to the Chorros cave.
