Bike tour through houses of Lorca Granada and food

We wanted to combine literature, history and sport in this guided tour on mountain bike in which we will visit some of the most important places in Granada where the well-remembered poet Federico García Lorca spent his life.

An easy tour where, over the course of a day or so, you will discover more of the trail that is still alive of one of the greatest representatives of the Generation of 27.

We will be waiting for you in the Plaza de La Caleta in Granada capital to deliver the 29" and 27.5" mountain bike style bike designed to ride comfortably thanks to its light design (it is made of aluminum) during all the corners of Granada that we will visit and that are still so closely linked to Lorca.

The first point will be La Huerta de San Vicente, the family summer house where the writer created much of his work, some of which are as well-known as Blood Wedding or Yerma, and where he lived the last days before his execution at the start of the Spanish Civil War.

We will cycle from Granada along the banks of the Genil River passing through towns such as Purchil or Belicena until we reach Santa Fé, Known for being built as a military settlement for the Catholic Monarchs for their final attack on the Nasrid people for the reconquest of the city.

We will continue by bicycle to the village of El Jau to reach "Lorcan lands" through poplars and meet at Fuente Vaqueros, where García Lorca was born and grew up to the age of 7. Then we will continue to Valderrubio, formerly La Asquerosa, where the literary was formed and gave shape to some youthful novels that have managed to inspire great dramatic works such as La Casa de Bernarda Alba.

The guide who leads the bike tour will tell you all the curiosities of one of the greatest writers in the history of our country with all the details to make a close and fun day. He will bring water, fruit and energy bars for the members of the group.

In addition, we will make a stop at lunchtime at a typical point of sale to taste some of the most typical products of the Vega de Granada.
