Description of Visit the Sisargas Islands by boat
Do you fancy a boat trip on the coast of Galicia? What better than a visit to the Sisargas Islands for this. You can enjoy an excellent day in its cove, tour the island and enjoy its surroundings.
The archipelago is constituted as a Special Protection Area for Birds, so in Las Sisagras you will be able to observe the seabirds that have the island as their refuge, as well as the migratory birds that pass through the area. In addition, you will also be able to learn about the native flora, among which are several types of Maritime Armory.
We will leave from the port of Malpica and once we disembark, you have several options: relax on the island's small beach or walk along it to discover its most representative monuments. Among these monuments you will find the oldest lighthouse in A Costa da Morte, dating from 1853, as well as the ruins of the Casa da Sirena, used to alert sailors on foggy days through steam that it produced, or the 1589 chapel that, according to legend, was destroyed by the pirate Francis Drake.
