Description of Orientation gymkhana in Cercedilla
Take part in the modern version of the Treasure Hunt game! Come enjoy a day of adventure with your friends in Cercedilla, in the Sierra de Madrid.
The steps to follow will be the following:
- Firstly, divided into teams, you will receive basic training in map reading and compass use. Later we will give you a topographic map of the area, a compass and a book with photographs of the treasures you must find: unique trees, rocks, fences, antennas, signs...
- You will have about 20 minutes to study the documentation and establish your strategy to obtain the greatest number of treasures in the established time.
- Afterwards, you have 2 hours to locate the treasures, photograph them and return to the departure point.
*Participants must bring a digital camera or camera phone per team.
**Recommended equipment: comfortable and breathable shoes and clothing, hat, sunscreen, water, notebook and pen.
