Iruña Sub

Iruña Sub we are a company that was created in 1999 around the Centromar Diving Club, today called Iruña Sub Diving Club since 2005. With its creation we wanted to give greater legal coverage to the purposes of Centromar:

The practice of recreational diving, in apnea and with autonomous equipment, both in maritime, river and stagnant waters. Our work consists of providing training courses to obtain the diving certification offered by the NAUI organization. We train divers in the knowledge and respect of the underwater environment, its fauna and flora, in addition to raising awareness of the need for its preservation.

When teaching our courses we have the premise of promoting exclusively sporting use of the underwater environment. We schedule outings to carry out sports dives, always looking for the most attractive and economically affordable places to practice underwater activity.

We consider safety essential in the practice of underwater sports, carrying out a preventive task among its associates and sympathizers. We collaborate with the Administration in tasks of education, promotion and recovery of the underwater environment.

During the last 20 years, more than 1000 divers have been trained at the Centromar and Iruña Sub facilities. We have agreements with the Association of Alumni of the University of Navarra and the Getaria Fishermen's Guild to provide diving training to their members.
