Volar al Sur
is a flight club established in Villamartín airfield
, in the province of Cádiz, from where we do non-powered flights to enjoy wonderful views of the Sierra de Grazalema
, which is nearby.
We present these two activities:
The initiation flights are also called flight baptism during which you'll learn the feelings experienced when flying in a plane.
We'll be towed to an altitude of 500 metres
(1,640 feet) and once there we freely glide until we reach the ground in a pleasant, gentle descent. Two-seater flights last from 15 minutes to 1 hour
depending on your preferences.
At our school, you can learn to pilot these planes with the flight courses
that are divided into:
Theoretical lessons: About the fundamentals of flights, meteorology, air navigation, aviation legislation, etc.
Practise lessons: Up to 6 hours of flight, first with double command in the company of the instructor and later autonomous flights of at least 2 hours in total.
The course can be taken by all those over 16 who have completed a medical certificate of fitness for air travel.
