Espuña Adventure

In The Espuña Adventure we offer visits to the Barrancos de Gebas, at the beginning of the Sierra de Espuña, from a global perspective, so that you have assured the activities you can do, transfers and food to the completion of each. In addition, we serve both in Spanish and English, as well as in German and French.

In the catalog of adventure options that we have, one of the sports is always considered as a starting point and a lunch in our own restaurant to finish. Some of them are:

- Kayak trips inside the reservoir: we will have at our disposal several hours to let ourselves go or paddle at our own pace in totally flat and accessible waters.

- Rafting descents that will take us to the Segura River: we take care of transferring you from La Mariposa to Cieza, which is the town that will serve as our starting point. We also include a Menu of the Day in the price!

- Quad routes: these are tourist rides, at slow speeds, to get a complete view of the natural park. The duration can be chosen, from 60 minutes to 3 hours. Prices vary depending on the time you choose.

- Guided hiking routes: over the Barrancos de Gebas or Sierra Espuña. The dates are between September and May, every Second and Fourth Monday of each month. Reservation required. The cost per person, which includes a special Menu of the Day, and the easy-intermediate level route of approximately 3 hours.

- Target Shooting with Laser: A completely different day! Play with family / friends and compete with them! At the same time enjoy the views that you will see of El Berro / Sierra Espuña

At Espuña Adventures we want your contact with the kayak to be the most complete, so our main option for this is an excursion in the quiet Mula reservoir that will end with a comforting lunch at the facilities that we have in La Mariposa.

Before starting our adventure, it is convenient that you tell us the ages of the people who are going to practice this activity, how many of you are and if you prefer that we go out in the morning or in the afternoon. With these data we will be ready to prepare the equipment you will need and develop a program that will be like this:

- We will wait for your arrival first thing in the morning to transfer you to Mula and start our session. Usually we will be around 2 hours on the boats. You can navigate at your own pace and with complete peace of mind since the waters remain stable and the kayaks are handled without problem.

- We will take you back to La Marioposa where we will find our bar-restaurant. It is not mandatory that you have lunch with us, it is enough that you notify us before going to the appointment. There we will eat without haste, enjoying the environment so we recommend that you relax and take it with all the calm that this space deserves.

Take advantage of the rafting season to make the best descent of the Segura River with The Espuña Adventure . The section that we have prepared presents 16 kilometers full of fun and without difficulties. That is why it is perfect to participate from 4 years old without age limits onwards.

Usually you can register on the dates that we are enabling. However, if the ones we have are not available, you can contact us in the same way so that we can find an option for you. It is easier to open dates for you if you come in groups of more than 4 people.

For the descent:

- We will meet in La Mariposa around a quarter to 8 in the morning, since the earlier, the better conditions for the activity. The idea is to return to the same bridge at around 1:30 p.m. to eat at our restaurant.

- We will provide you : both round trip transportation to the mentioned place, as well as the precise equipment and instructors. We will also give you a small snack before the start to start with strength.

The rest is up to us as long as the clothes you bring are comfortable and you avoid flip-flops on your feet. You could get lost in the river so better come with something that you can tie or hold well.

Buggies make you want to drive them as soon as you see them and at The Espuña Adventure we know that it is the best way for you to get to know our landscapes by adding excitement.

We have a total of 3 vehicles, which can be occupied by one or two people at the same time. With them we go out practically every day of the year to see the roads that surround the Sierra de Espuña. Do not worry about the total number of places because if you want us to organize an excursion for more than 6 people at the same time, we can add several quads to the route.

The aim of these walks is to be calm and help us to explore the small animals that live here among forests and gorse. They are not excursions in which we seek to put the speed of these small cars to the limit since the park requires us not to exceed 20 kilometers per hour.

We will always include food for you, unless you specify otherwise. This will take place in our restaurant in La Mariposa and will be added to any of these options:

- 1 hour route : it gives us time to go around in a circle and see the waters of the reservoir from a distance.

- Itinerary of 2 hours : it is the most requested. It allows us to get to the reservoir and swim if we feel like it and the temperature is good, which happens in almost every month of the year.

- 3-hour walk : we lengthen the circuit to see different views of the entire environment.

If you don't know the Barrancos de Gebas, come and see them on the quads that The Espuña Adventure have ready for you. You do not need to know how to drive them, although it is convenient that you have a type B driving license (the usual one for passenger cars).

The moment, more than ever, is up to you because any day of the year is a good time to organize an outing. The second decision to make will be which of the excursions you want to participate in. They are distinguished by their duration and for all of them we must respect a maximum speed of 20 km / hour since we will travel through a natural space:

- Excursion of 60 minutes : it consists of a circular route in which we get to see the reservoir at a certain distance. Perfect for a first contact with the environment and with the vehicle.

- 120 minute trip : time with which we have already reached the water limit. Bring a swimsuit because it is a suitable place to dive if you feel like it.

- 3-hour route : the most complete of all. On this occasion we want you to be able to see the entire landscape from different points to fully appreciate its details.

As we return, we eat at our property's restaurant located in La Mariposa. We recommend this option to have a full day but you can also book only the quad activity.

At Espuña Adventure we cannot resist good plans and that is why one of those that we love is a paragliding flight ; gliding serenely driven by the breeze, beautiful landscapes that we can see in their entirety, huge natural landscapes that are reduced to nothing, absolute silence and one of the best ways to contemplate a sunset ... Sensations like these are what await you aboard a paraglider and when you do it flying over some of the most charming corners of Murcia , then we are already talking about an idyllic day.

With Espuña Adevnture we make it easy for you when paragliding through Murcia , you will only have to come to our facilities with comfortable clothing and closed shoes, nothing more. We take care of everything for your paragliding flight and we will provide you with all the equipment, training (as a context, don't worry about flying), a professional pilot and roundtrip transportation from our facilities until the starting point and the end of the activity back to our facilities.

As you can see, everything is designed for our paragliding flight and the location cannot be better, since we usually go paragliding through Sierra de La Muela . However, the exact location always varies depending on the weather, although in general, we usually fly through this park that is surrounded by the Sierra Espuña and the Barranco de Gebas . Be careful, we are talking about the Sierra de La Muela de Alhama de Murcia , not the regional park of La Muela and Cabo Tiñoso.

Prepare a good camera and the whole troop, because our bicycle excursions will take us through some spectacular places and even children can sign up.

With Espuña Adventure you will not need anything and all you have to do is gather all the family and friends and come with comfortable clothes and sports shoes. Don't worry about helmets, equipment or even food, because with us you will have everything included to visit a charming corner of Murcia , Alhama de Murcia , a small town that protects the place that we are going to visit.

At Espuña Adventure we don't have many BTT routes , but honestly, when you organize it as we organize it, you don't need more. We do these bike routes to have fun, not to suffer, therefore, our tours take place from the peak of Sierra Espuña , which we will arrive at in our van. It is from here where we will start, so we can go downhill at full speed enjoying its surroundings properly, carefully, without haste and with little effort.
