Pradoventura Academy is the ideal place to combine the learning and improvement of English, German or Spanish for foreigners in our school and residences with the practice of educational activities. adventure through the Grazalema mountain range, very close to our facilities in Prado del Rey.

The Natural Parks of Grazalema and Los Alcornocales, in the province of Cádiz, make up very spectacular mountain environments that make it possible to approach adventure with proposals like these:

Canyoning: Water ravines in Grazalema and the mountains of Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama, some of the best in all of Andalusia.

Caving: An endless number of incredible recesses are hidden beneath the earth, among which is the longest route in Andalusia in the Cueva de los Gatos, with 5 km underground through the bed of a river.< /li>
Climbing: Climbing courses in Grazalema and Benaocaz to start or progress.

Horseback riding routes: We ride along the roads near Prado del Rey between fields of oaks and reservoirs.

Bike routes: Mountain and flatter routes such as the Vía Verde de las Sierras with 36 km through an old railway line.

Hiking routes: We look for the Grazalema mountain range and climb to some of the highest peaks in Cádiz.

Canoeing: Aquatic proposal through one of the 4 reservoirs that surround Prado del Rey aboard a canoe.

Airsoft: Variant of paintball with replicas of real weapons that do not contain paint but corn starch. Fights in our field of up to 4 hours.

In our center we offer you accommodation, up to 3 swimming pools, one of them salty taking advantage of the nearby salt flats, cultural activities with routes through the white towns of Grazalema, etc.

Description of Academia Pradoventura Canyoning

From Pradoventura Academy we organize a most unique and exciting trip through the most spectacular ravines and canyons in all of Andalusia. A journey through stark and abrupt rock that takes us along the course of a mountain river from its source.

The trip through the ravines is done specifically in these two places:

Natural Parks of the Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornocales (Cádiz): Barrancos de La Garganta Verde, Garganta de las Buitreras and Garganta Sima del Diablo.

Natural Park of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama (Granada): Barranco del Río Verde.

The presence of water is constant on these tours through the canyons, especially during the time when it rains the most.

Depending on your experience in canyoning, we will go down some routes or others or through some ravines or others. The guide will be your best help to tackle all the small difficulties that we encounter.

We will descend using rappelling, we will jump into pools of water, we will jump down the natural slides and we will walk along the course of the river at the bottom of the ravine.

At Pradoventura Academy we offer you to combine this canyoning activity with language courses in our facilities: English, German and Spanish for foreigners to learn in nature.

Description of Academia Pradoventura Canoe Kayak

In the surroundings of Prado del Rey, very close to the Cadiz mountain range of Grazalema, we have up to 4 reservoirs in which we take out the canoes and tour their entire length. A very calm water ride that we combine in our school with language classes to spend some very complete and productive days.

We canoe in these reservoirs:

Zahara Reservoir

Bornos Reservoir

Hurones Reservoir

Guadalcacín Reservoir

Surrounded by the Cadiz mountains and mountains with the best sun in Andalusia, we will row through the waters of one of these reservoirs without any difficulty.

If you have never tried a canoe, one of our instructors will be in charge of explaining the basic operation of this boat.

Once in the water you will find it really comfortable to follow the instructor and the group along the length of the reservoir.

We can combine canoe navigation with a swim in the appropriate areas.

Description of Academia Pradoventura Airsoft

We present to you a battle in the field where strategy and rapport with the team is essential, a variant of paintball called airsoft. Enter combat with foreign students from our language school while you learn English or German or if you come from abroad learning Spanish in Prado del Rey, in the mountains of Cádiz.
Our airsoft field is located a few kilometers from the Grazalema mountain range. It is a completely natural field in which you will have to use trees, rocks, hills and other elements to cover yourself from enemy fire.

We use in airsoft:

Replicas of real weapons

Filled 6 mm diameter balls

Protective glasses

Dark or camouflage clothing

The contest will last between 3 and 4 hours in which the two teams will try to mark each other with the ammunition they have.

The detailed material will be given to you at the beginning of the battle, receiving an explanation from the monitor about how the activity works.

Description of Academia Pradoventura Hiking

Through the paths that populate the Natural Parks of the Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornales we sneak through the forests and mountains of Cádiz on a hiking tour for the students of our language school from Prado del Rey. An ideal complement for your stay at the language camp.

Enjoylong walks through the Cadiz mountains with some of these proposals:

Majaceite River Route in El Bosque: It lasts 3 hours and does not present great difficulty. You can bathe in the summer in the riverbed.

Route to Torreón Peak: 6-hour ascent of no less than the highest point of the province of Cádiz at 1,650 meters of altitude. Impressive views from above of all of Grazalema.

Route to the summit of Simancón: Climb to this summit in about 6 hours with a first section through forests to gain height and lose vegetation to the top of the mountain range.

You will be able to delight in the natural spectacle that these places offer us. You will see mountain goats, various types of rodents, otters, foxes and griffon vultures in the skies.

Come and do natural rock climbing in the environments offered by the Cádiz mountains. We climb in the Serra de Grazalema Natural Park with courses for you to start or polish your climbing technique as a complement to your language training at our school in Prado del Rey.

You will take the course that adapts to your knowledge and experience in the world of climbing. With the initiation course we will teach you the first steps of progression on the wall, how to find the appropriate routes, the use of the material, etc.

With the improvement course we focus on undertaking more complicated sections, in places with fewer and more difficult routes to choose from. We will squeeze your physical and mental capabilities to beat the wall and complete the ascent.

We provide you with a totally safe and comfortable climb with the most suitable material and in good condition: Carabiners, climbing shoes, harness and helmet.

Description of Academia Pradoventura Caving

Under the mountains of the Sierra de Grazalema in Cádiz there is a series of underground labyrinths formed by the action of water on the karst terrain. We invite you to walk with us those passageways among which is the longest in all of Andalusia with the incursion of an underground river.

Caving trips vary in difficulty, the easiest ones barely have complicated sections with climbing or descent areas, while there are others that do require more specific notions in these techniques.

We divide the itineraries into:

Initiation caves: Caves such as Susto, Igualeja or Gato are indicated for those who are going to have their first foray under the mountain.

Caves for those already initiated: For people with a little experience in caving, we have the longest route in Andalusia with 5 km of caves, chasms and galleries. It is known as Hundidero-Gato using the underground course of the Guadiares River. Caving is mixed with a water tour.

In the case of the Hundidero-Gato cave, a neoprene suit will be necessary to cross the Guadiares stretch of water. In the rest of the cases, a helmet that protects the head will suffice. All of this will be delivered to you by our guides.

On a mountain bike you will be able to see a multitude of very unique mountain landscapes around the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, in the interior of Cádiz. You will find a wide variety of routes to pedal at your leisure, highlighting the Vía Verde de la Sierra, with 36 km that are very easy to follow.

Being close to a mountain environment, there are routes that have sections of steep slopes and that require a high physical level. But if you are looking more for a day of walking and simply enjoying nature, you will find very relaxed journeys suitable for practically anyone who knows how to ride a bicycle.

The Vía Verde de la Sierra is the star route of our offer through Grazalema. This old train track connects the municipalities of Puerto Serrano and Olvera in 36 km of pleasant cycling tour . The slope is always gentle and the road is in a very good condition for pedaling without difficulty.
