At Alto Miera Aventura we are dedicated to active tourism and different outdoor activities. We are located in the Asón valley in La Cavada and in the Pasiegos valleys in Liérganes.

Something that began 25 years ago as a hobby has led us today to work in the sector for 18 years. We do it by conducting activities, teaching countless individuals, working for different televisions, newspapers and our latest great achievement building via ferratas with European regulations.

From our team we offer you one or more days of activities, accompanied by experienced guides in the field that will make you enjoy the adventure. You can do it in modalities such as:

- Canyoning: in canyons that we have selected for you of all levels. For example, as an initiation, we can follow Aján en la Vega de Pas .

- The via ferrata: with a multitude of proposals between points such as Asón, Miera or the Hermida area. One of the most requested is the Torreón de Liérganes as it is the closest to Santander.

- Speleology: we will show you the most beautiful cavities in regions such as Alto Miera and Alto Asón such as the Cave of the Ghosts of Coventosa .

We also accompany you climbing, hiking or creating campuses for your little ones to start experiencing great sensations.

The eastern mountain of Cantabria hides many secrets and one of them is its ravines. From the Alto Miera Aventura team we take you to descend the ravine of your choice, one of the 5-star activities in which you will undoubtedly enjoy this great adventure.

We have ravines for all levels and of all kinds with jumps, slides, rappels ... a wide range so you can spend an unforgettable day on the river. Some examples of our favorite cannons are these:

- For initiation : to get your debut we can go to the Navedo ravine , in La Hermida, or the Chorretón Waterfalls in Karrantza.

- Medium level : the most requested in this case is Aján in La Vega de Pas although we can also take you to El Molino in Liérganes.

- High difficulty : the favorite of those who visit us in search of a great challenge is the Miera ravine .

We will provide qualified guides and the complete equipment for both you and the whole group so that you do not need anything else to get started.

You will find the best canyoning in Cantabria in Valles Pasiegos and Valle de Asón.

At Alto Miera Aventura we carry out daily excursions for half-day or full-day sport climbing, classic climbing and we have an indoor climbing wall.

We work mainly in the eastern area of Cantabria , although we also move around the rest of the Autonomous Community. You just have to ask us for availability, zones and levels so that we can prepare your next adventure.

We carry out climbing courses of different levels and types, fully customizable depending on the needs, we have an indoor climbing wall to carry out practices and we carry out rock outings within the course. Come to a day of:

- Sport climbing : with an average duration of 3 hours in the Trasmiera del Asón or Miera valleys . We can also do it on the cliffs where the Santander lighthouse is located or on its beaches.

- Classic climbing : in Mortesante, in the Aguja de Trasmiera or approaching key points for climbers such as the Naranjo de Bulnes on its south face or the Peña Cigal, already in the Picos de Europa.

The Alto Miera Aventura team is specialized in this discipline. We manage the design and construction of this type of infrastructure in addition to guiding activities with clients on via ferratas.

Cantabria is a pioneer in this type of infrastructure, so we have different routes and possibilities. The ferratas are routes equipped with various material (metal staples, monkey bridges, Tibetan bridges, zip lines ...) and we will always be linked by a heat sink to a life cable, which provides us with security during the route.

It comes close to having the same sensations as a climber without the need for ferrata experience or precise technical knowledge. You can try it in some of the ones we recommend:

- El Torreón de Liérganes : it is a suitable section for beginners that is located in Pico Levante. We will complete it in about 2 hours.

- El Cáliz de Ramales : we find it in La Haza and it is also recommended for those who start in this sport. With a medium pace we will have covered it in approximately 120 minutes.

Visits to natural caves, or better known as caving, are one of the great attractions that we have in Cantabria with more than 9000 cavities with prehistoric and geological interest.

From Alto Miera Aventura we offer you the best underground routes. We have a wide catalog of cavities for all audiences and tastes. From the most famous ones located in the high Asón to the most remote in different enclaves of our region.

Equipped with a diver, boots, gloves, a helmet with lighting and a harness, dare to enter the wonderful underground world of Cantabria. To get you started, we can introduce you to Los Fantasmas de Coventosa . It is close to the town of Arredondo and will allow us, in addition to inspecting its galleries, to make a rappelling descent of a dozen meters.

Keep in mind that you can choose from wide routes of great geological interest to the narrowest and most exciting galleries in visits from half a day to a full day.

Some examples are:

- Canyoning : as these are groups in which it is normal for each one to have a level, we will advise you canyons that everyone can travel without problem. Among them are one of the simplest parts of El Molino, Pozo Negro or El Sembrado canyon.

- Via Ferrata: ascents for adventurers who will be guided by one of our instructors telling them how to overcome each of the phases of this section in height like the one we do in El Torreón de Liérganes.

- Speleology , for example in the Ghosts of Coventosa accessing their underground rooms.

At Alto Miera Aventura we initiate children and young people, between 6 and 12 years old , to the best outdoor leisure modalities by programming multi-adventure children's campuses . These are developed in periods of one or two weeks (attending 5 or 10 days).

We usually establish a schedule of activities that begins at 9:00 in the morning and lasts until 2:00 pm, with the main headquarters of our facilities in La Cavada. Our camps:

- They pursue the objective of giving children a place especially suitable for them where they learn to interact, to train under the instructions of different sports and to display their creative side. We achieve this with outings and activities dedicated to areas such as caving, vertical ascent teaching them to climb, or showing them how to tie the knots that help us to be sure.

- They understand the assistance of a titled guide who will share their knowledge with the participants, providing them with the material they need for them. In addition, the kids are covered by the corresponding insurance and we will take pictures of everything so that parents can see what they are capable of in a photo report.

- In this edition, in addition to doing speleo and hiking, we will visit an alpaca farm and an ecological garden. We will also experience abseiling, climbing in the facilities of a climbing wall and canoeing. If at any time we cannot leave the center due to bad weather, we will do workshops that are related to the mountains and nature.

At Alto Miera Aventura we prepare your company event as you expect it to be, enjoying the many natural landscapes that Cantabria has to offer. We can focus the day on a single activity that you want to try especially or make a trip of several days sharing moments of leisure with all the colleagues of the corporation. You can choose adventures like these:

- Canyoning : in its dry or aquatic variants and of all levels. Usually the company groups that we host come with people with uneven physical preparation. In that case, we will advise you on initiation descents like the one we carry out in one of the sections of the Liérganes Mill.

- Via ferrata : a discipline that will provide you with the best views from the heights with many of the advantages of climbing but without the complexity that it entails. We suggest you start with the Torreón de Liérganes.

- Canoe trips : with special prices for groups following routes between key points of the Cantabrian coast such as Somo, the Ría de Cubas or even Santander.
