Camping Valderredible invites you to discover Cantabria by his hand. A family camping to come in summer or throughout the year, and enjoy the different activities depending on the season.

Its star activities:

• Workshops . Activities carried out by a Doctor in Wild Fauna and an expert and Graduate in Agricultural and Forest Sciences that will teach you to see nature from a different point of view. Some of the workshops that are currently offered are dedicated to fauna, ornithology, the forest environment and the applied use of GPS for hiking. Soon we will expand the offer with beekeeping courses at all levels, fire prevention workshops, bonsai, organic gardens, etc.

• Environmental education. We also have a forest pedagogy service dedicated mainly to the little ones but also available for adults. These are games and activities that take place mainly in the forest with the aim of showing the biodiversity that lives in these ecosystems and making children aware of the importance of conserving nature.

• Hide. At the campsite we also have one of the largest wildlife observatories (hide) in Spain, with capacity for a maximum of 12 people, 6 spy glasses and an artificial pond. The birds that visit us most often are the griffon vulture, black kite, red kite, Egyptian vulture, buzzard, magpie, imperial crow, woodpecker, jay, robin, nuthatch or the great tit, while mammals include the roe deer, fox, badger and weasel.

• Paintball . The forest that surrounds the campsite will be the scene of a battle that you do not expect. There you can hide and shoot without problems. Two teams will be formed that will have to face each other. We will provide you with all the necessary material, the balls, the pistols and the jumpsuit for the game. There are several game modes that will be explained to you before starting the game. At the end you will be able to enjoy the camping facilities, its recently opened swimming pool, showers, restaurant and cafeteria.

• Ecotourism routes . There is also the possibility of hiring a guided tour service both at a landscape, historical or natural level. Valderredible is a valley full of archaeological remains, wild and exciting nature and a landscape shaped by the Ebro river that has given rise to canyons and cliffs of breathtaking beauty. The routes are adapted to theavailability of the client and at the level of difficulty that is requested, since there is the possibility of doing from quiet walks to long routes. They are routes designed for you to enjoy all thefamily.

If you are looking for an exciting and fun activity to share with your friends and family, Camping Valderredible offers you a Paintball battle. It is one of the best sports to practice in nature and, if you come, you will see why. You will be surrounded by a magnificent forest that will allow you to breathe fresh air while having a great time, donning a military suit and wasting adrenaline with each shot. You will enter a war, do you think you will come out as the winner?

To be able to play you only have to form two teams , you will face each other but we guarantee that, whatever the result, everyone will enjoy. If you do not have enough people to divide you, do not worry as we can find enemies, facing other groups. The ammunition will reach 100 balls , but you can reload once you have used them.

We provide you with all the necessary material to fight the battle, both the protective suit, the marker and the mask are fully approved. In addition, you will be able to enjoy our facilities, which have hot showers, a swimming pool in summer season and a restaurant with karaoke, where you will enjoy a portion of bravas and a drink per person.

During the game, you can choose various modes , taking into account the extra point of emotion that this entails. You choose a mission and you go on an adventure in search of being one of the survivors. You will be able to conquer the flag or your enemy, having to avoid the rivals and reach the most protected place. You also have the option of Assassinating the President or escorting him.

Enjoy with Camping Valderredible the GPS workshop applied to hiking , a very useful and fun orientation activity in the countryside. Do these and other activities for the first time in Cantabria .

The course is taught by a Doctor of GPS radio tracking and a Bachelor of Forest Sciences, which brings great interest to the course.

You will learn how a GPS works, how it is possible to apply its utilities in hiking through geographic information. Apart from the theoretical part, there will be a part of the field trip where you can prepare your own data and create a map with personalized trails.

Workshop program :

• The course starts on a Friday afternoon and ends on Sunday after lunch.
• Informative session on GPS, how they work, what types are there and their applications. This class will give you the necessary knowledge that you will apply on Saturday at the start.
• The field trip is done in a group and will help you to obtain data. The first route will be of low difficulty and with the help of GPS.
• On Saturday you will also have a mapping session in which you will also be taught geographic information systems. You will learn to interpret any map and what computer programs are used for this discipline.
• The next class will be on online cartographic resources and we guarantee that it is very interesting and formative. You can learn to create your own trails. You will analyze the data obtained in the morning departure.
• You will dedicate Sunday to improving your technique. There will be a special session for questions that arise after the practice. Information about the resources offered by the internet will be expanded.

For the workshop you will need footwear for the forest, waterproof, a GPS device with battery!, A laptop with the data analysis program (they will explain how to install it) and reserve the place !

The main species that the Hide attracts are the griffon vulture , the red kite , the black kite , the buzzard, the Egyptian vulture, the magpie , the imperial crow, the crow, the woodpecker, the jay, the thrush, the robin , the nuthatch, the common finch, the great tit, the gray wagtail, the white wagtail and some mammals Among which the roe deer , the fox , the weasel, the marten and the badger stand out.
