Centro Ecuestre Burdin

The Burdin Equestrian Center is designed so that the whole family can enjoy horse riding in an evergreen environment. We are very well connected, just 10 minutes from Bilbao.

• Horseriding: We are capable of offering you any specialty, such as jumping, dressage, raiding. You will learn the technical aspects of each discipline from the hands of our team of professionals.

• Horseback riding: Relax and contemplate nature on a one-hour excursion on one of these animals. Before leaving we will listen to explanations about their morphology and customs. Each participant will saddle their mount in order to establish a relationship of trust with the horse.

• Pony Club: Space created expressly for the little ones in the house between 3 and 4 years old. Our ponies will make your children feel like riders for a day while they learn basic riding notions through play.

• Farm School: We have animals and our own garden where children will be able to learn about the production of artisanal products such as fresh cheese, bringing us closer to the traditional way that has taken place in the farmhouses in the area for centuries.

• Environmental education for primary education by the Burdin Zaldiak Association in groups of 40 students and schedules from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During weekend mornings we schedule horse riding classes in English for children.

At the Burdin Equestrian Center we hold summer camps for children from 3 years old in the Trápaga valley, very close to the Bilbao capital. Equestrian camps so that they can spend a vacation in full contact with nature.

From first thing in the morning, we have places until 2:00 p.m. for children from 3 to 5 years old and until 7:00 p.m. if they are not yet 7 years old. The elderly will be able to spend the night in our center that also has these advantages :

• Three hours a day of riding lessons.

• Gallop test theory.

• English and Basque during the activities.

• They will be housed in their own newly built facilities with all services.

• School farm where they will share their day to day with the garden and the animals.

• Pony club where they will enjoy these beautiful animals designed for the little ones.

• Equestrian workshops in which they will be provided with knowledge related to the maintenance and care of horses.

• Crafts, cooking classes, gymkhanas and cinema.

• Menus consisting of home-cooked and balanced food calculated so that they are well fed after physical exercise.

The stays are divided into several shifts in the months of June, July and August.

At Burdin Equestrian Center we have idyllic horse riding routes through the nature of Vizcaya with which you can get to know this beautiful and noble animal better and at the same time introduce you to beautiful country places in a day designed to come with your loved ones.

We are located in the Trápaga Valley, very close to the Bilbao estuary and in turn to the green and leafy nature typical of the Basque Country.

We make horseback rides through the Trápaga valley and along the old mining train track that ran through these lands in a duration of around 1 hour.

A guide from the center will lead the expedition, controlling our handling of the horse and telling interesting details about the routes we will take.

Without leaving our center you can do other activities other than the routes and also enjoy the horse with:

• Pony Club: The best initiation for children from 3 years of age on the back of these charming little horses.

• Jumping: Practice this classic equestrian modality with jumping circuits in which you will gain a great command of the horse.

• Dressage: These classes are the ultimate refinement of horse handling techniques. Mastery of trotting, galloping or hand changes among other skills.

• Cross: With this activity we go out to the field and cross all kinds of natural obstacles such as logs, streams, etc.

After this experience the horse will have no secrets for you, come with your friends or family very close to Bilbao and soak up the world of the horse in the woods.

At Burdin Equestrian Center we offer you our intensive summer camps where we develop English camps in which we serve children from 3 to 5 years old during the daytime, already young from 7 years in internal regime. We are 10 minutes from Bilbao in the Trápaga valley.

Your children's school holidays are the ideal time for to learn the English language without realizing it while playing and practicing sports outdoors.

In addition, at Burdin Equestrian Center we are specialists in riding classes with which we will train children and promote their respect for animals.

Characteristics of Burdin English camps :

• Students are housed in their own center with new and fully equipped facilities.

• The menus are homemade and take into account the nutritional needs of minors.

• We will have active English daily so that the children get used to communicating in this language.

• We will give three hours of riding lessons each day.
