El Camino Real offers a varied range of proposals in thenature of Asturias along the Sella and Cares rivers and in the surroundings of the Picos de Europa. With us you will discover an exceptional natural environment that is always green and refreshing and with charming places to stay and enjoy a comforting stay.

You will find aquatic proposals with descents down the mythical Sella River from Arriondas to Ribadesella, fishing days in its waters, routes between imposing peaks on foot, on horseback, quad or bike, and other very exciting and surprising activities.

We encourage you to join us in some of the best Asturian rivers to spend a very relaxing day of fishing while you improve your fishing technique or experience for the first time the pleasure of casting the hook. />
In the summer months, when the heat is most intense, we take the opportunity to go to rivers like the Sella and look for the best specimens of three species in particular:

• Atlantic Salmon
• Trout
• Reo.

We form very small groups wanting to personalize the fishing experience as much as possible. We work with a maximum of 3 people per guide.

Don't worry about fishing permits, since we take care of managing the permits and reserves for free.

With us you can practice fishing using thedry fly or rat tail technique, learning interesting and valuable tricks that will set you apart as a seasoned fisherman.

Spend a day on the river clearing your head surrounded by incomparable lush scenery like the one we have in Asturias, where fishing is a delight.

We present you a day of canoe navigation making the most famous descent in all of Spain, the Sella River between Arriondas and Ribadesella. For 3-4 hours you will live a complete sailing experience on this emblematic river with very comfortable waters.

You can choose the length of the descent you want to do:

• 7 km
• 10 km
• 15 km

If you take the longer route and then want to shorten it, you can let us know and we will come pick you up without any problem.

Our canoes are prepared to accommodate 1 person only, 2 people and even 3 people.

Its navigation is extremely simple, the paddle will allow you to turn with precision along the river and always maintain stability.

The descent of the Sella is very pleasant and calm since its waters do not carry too much force nor are there large obstacles in its course.

From the age of 5 any child with his parents can come.

You will be given the vest to get into the canoe and also a waterproof container with a picnic for lunch.

We take you through the 15 best-known navigable kilometers in the entire national territory, those that separate the Asturian towns of Arriondas and Ribadesella through the Sella River. As a means of transportation we put our 1 and 2-seater kayaks at your disposal. A walk in which tradition and nature merge.

Kayaks are boats that do not sink in the event of a capsize. They are very light so handling them will not require any effort.

The journey lasts 3 or 4 hours depending on how far you want to go. You can shorten the route, it is not necessary to end in Ribadesella. Descents of 7 km, 10 km or 15 km.

Children who have already turned 5 years old can get into the kayak and lower the Sella as normal. Its waters do not involve difficult or risky maneuvers, it is a very pleasant and progressive descent.

We will pass through emblematic places of this river such as bridges, towns, meanders, etc.

To satisfy your appetite after the activity that takes place in the morning, we will provide you with a picnic.

El Camino Real offers you to undertake a wild canyon descent through the spectacular landscapes of the Picos de Europa, the best-known Asturian mountains in its entire territory. Abrupt routes in which water is always present, forming a very refreshing natural water park.

Two types of ravines are made:

• Initiation, in which no prior knowledge is needed, just doing sports regularly.
• Advanced, where the route requires some previous experience in canyoning or rappelling.

These are the two main levels, but if you want you can customize the descents. In all of them we offer you local guides and instructors who know the route perfectly.

The descents are carried out accompanied by guides for every 4 participants, groups accept a maximum of 7 people. In the advanced level, a guide is included for every 4 people, and from 6 we will provide an additional guide.

The duration varies depending on the route, varying from 4 to 8 hours depending on whether it is beginner or advanced.

It is essential that you are dressed in comfortable, sporty clothing and that you also bring clothes to change into after doing the activity. It is very important to know how to swim.

How about trying paintball in one of our 3 fields in the middle of the forest, among fallen logs, undergrowth and parapets, next to the Asturian river par excellence, the Sella? You will hardly find more attractive conditions to participate in a paintball battle.

With groups of at least 6 people we can start spectacular battles in which you will have to propose an appropriate strategy together with your team and capture the enemy flag while protecting your own.

The way to eliminate opponents is none other than marking them with paint with a marker gun that we will give you. You will have up to 100 balls of biodegradable paint, and you can refill them later.

It will give you the impression that you are in the middle of the jungle battling with a lush and evergreen environment.

The duration of the battles will be around 2 hours and you can choose the way to play from an extensive list of paintball modalities.

The protective material and the marking gun are at our expense.

The heart of Asturias opens to you with our quad tours through the forests and mountains of the Asturian Principality. You barely need to have a driving license to get into one of these vehicles that have automatic transmission and enjoy driving.

With accelerating and braking you have more than enough, it is not necessary that you have tried a quad before. In a few small steps you will know how to handle our vehicles with ease.

We have planned these two types of routes that show you the depths of Asturian nature:

• 1 and 2 hour routes: Through the interior and the Asturian coast, for groups of at least 2 people with a guide.
• Special route to the Buen Suceso mine: For the most adventurous, this route is ideal, with a 6-hour journey. It leaves from Arriondas at 10 and visits various places such as Cangas de Onís or Monte Oscuro, arriving at the Buen Suceso mine. Finally, around 5 o'clock we return to Arriondas. Minimum 4 quads per excursion.

We also organize quad routes for business groups looking for an incentive in nature while doing an adventure sport.

El Camino Real has a hiking proposal for you that is difficult to reject given its spectacular nature: We will travel with you the well-known Cares route through the most steep and at the foot of the massifs of thePicos de Europa, with peaks such as Naranjo de Bulnes or Torre Cerredo.

This route always takes you through very confined areas where only the Cares River, the path and you can fit between colossal rock walls.

The route plan is as follows:

• Pick up at 10:00 in Cangas de Onís
• Anthropological tour with visits to a salmon farm, a mill and a stockade where wolves were corralled in the past.
• Route of Valdeón and Caín
• Picnic
• Cares Gorge Route
• Arrival in Poncebos and return by transport

The route will take you almost the entire day, it is the only way to fully appreciate these impressive places in the Asturian mountains.

A guide will organize the groups and explain each of the elements that you will find along the way.

At El Camino Real we have the wisdom and experience of one of the most veteran jockeys of the Zarzuela Racecourse, David del Barrio, who puts his dedication to the service of the land Asturian women and their horses. He has put together a horse rental offer and very special routes along the trails near the Picos de Europa.

You can walk and ride through the Asturian nature with the help of one of our guides. Riding a horse you will climb the mountains enjoying impressive views of the Sella River and the most representative peaks of Asturias such as Naranjo de Bulnes.

The routes move between Arriondas and Cangas de Onís and around the Picos de Europa.

If you already know the area and would like to do a particular route you can contact us and we will trace that route with you.

You can also go out without the need for the company of a guide by renting your own horse and experiencing very special sensations of freedom.

The Picos de Europa and their spectacular rock formations make it possible to practice the sport of climbing surrounded by the most spectacular views. We do both classic climbing with ascents to the mythical Asturian peaks and sport and beginner climbing on natural rock and in a climbing wall.

Initiation climbing

Designed for anyone who wants to come into contact with climbing for the first time or has been practicing it for a relatively short time. We propose an introductory course that combines the climbing wall with the natural wall.

The course contains:

• Explanation of basic climbing equipment (harnesses, climbing shoes, carabiners, etc.)
• First progression in a climbing wall
• Second progression on natural wall
• Securing in top clothes
• Simulation of how a route is equipped and opened
• Basic knots

Classic climbing

Designed for climbing lovers who already have many climbs under their belts. Accompanied by highly experienced guides and some “eight thousand” in the bag, we will ascend, climbing peaks such as:

• Bulnes Naranjo
• Gutter Needle
• Fresnidiellu

Especially the Naranjo de Bulnes or Picu Urriellu has numerous routes to be attacked.

We will have one guide for every 3 climbers, all members of the Spanish Association of Mountain Guides.

These days of classic climbing require a whole day ending in a refuge where you can spend the night.

El Camino Real invites you toenjoy archery with which you will have to temper your nerves, in the heart of the Picos de Europa landscape, a beautiful place to carry out outdoor adventure activities like this.

We have several years of experience offering personalized attention during your stay, making you feel at home while you enjoy our proposals.

In Asturias, nature and fauna merge with legends, history and art, what better place to become authentic Robin Hood.

Archery is ideal for everyone, it does not require previous experience or special physical preparation, you just need to be attentive, refine your aim and hit the target, the rest is very simple.< /p>

To carry out this activity, El Camino Real will provide you with all the necessary technical material:

• Bow.

• Finger and forearm protector.

• Quiver and arrows.

• Diana.

• Instructor.

Before you start shooting, you will receive basic instructions on how to use and aim the bow.

It is an exciting and very fun activity that will test your aim, your pulse and your nerves.

The bowels of Asturias open up for you in an unparalleled speleological tour in which you will be amazed by the very curious geological forms that water erosion has created in the limestone rock.The nearby area to the Picos de Europais dotted with interesting caves that are very easy to explore.

Visits to the caves do not have large slopes so it is not necessary to be an expert in climbing or rappelling techniques. The sections where you have to climb or declimb are affordable.

The guide will explain everything you see during the journey, how stalactites, stalagmites, chasms, galleries, etc. are formed.

The duration of the visit as well as the approach to the cave will depend on the specific place you want to visit. The most common thing is that they last between 4 and 5 hours.

Transfers, material and access to the changing rooms in our Arriondas center are included in the speleological visit.

Asturias is an ideal territory to visit by mountain bike along its trails that cross mountains and valleys and border rivers and beaches. The routes that we have created are centered on the eastern region of the Principality, along the Sella River between Arriondas and Ribadesella and Los Picos de Europa.

We go down the paths that follow the channels of the Sella and Cares rivers in search of the Cantabrian Sea in Ribadesella or Llanes. We also gained altitude with routes through thePicos de Europa National Parkat the foot of imposing peaks such as Naranjo de Bulnes or Torre Cerredo.

You will discover beautiful natural environments, small villages and towns that preserve all the charm of another era and above all, you will enjoy cycling through the Asturian nature always full of greenery.
