El Hidalgo de Alarcón is a company with which you can discover the landscapes that surround Cuenca and what surrounds Alarcón, one of the most historic towns in the region.

Our city has both Iberian and Roman antecedents, being later conquered by Arabs, who built the castle that you can see on our hiking trails, on horseback or on mountain bikes. The Villa de Alarcón was declared a Historic-Artistic Site, so you will not be able to miss the possibility of knowing it from the hand of our guides.

We carry out adventure activities around the Hoces del Júcar and the Henchidero Reservoir, where you can discover spectacular landscapes, unmistakable fauna and flora and unforgettable views.

Come and enjoy the countryside and feel free navigating the calm waters of the Júcar River. It is a beautiful place that will bring you peace and well-being, where you can forget about your daily worries.

The canoe route will last approximately 3 hours , but if you wish it may be shorter. We will take you and your family to explore the calm waters that lie between the Henchidero Reservoir and, how could it be otherwise, given our location, the Alarcón Reservoir.

The gorges of Alarcón are navigable, so you have to be calm. You will find cliffs of an infarct height and totally virgin vegetation, since getting there is impossible by land.

We will provide you with everything you need to do the canoe excursion , but you will have to bring a swimsuit and you will need to know how to swim.

The guests of our rural house can choose between a multitude of activities to enjoy our region. Hiking is one of them, and it is perhaps the best way to immerse yourself in the true essence of our nature and our history.

Touring Alarcón visiting its monuments and cobbled streets is a very rewarding experience that is not forgotten. The hiking routes that discover the Hoces de Alarcón through approved and signposted routes are an incomparable way to disconnect from the daily routine and enjoy quality free time.

We carry out guided hiking routes by expert mountaineers, connoisseurs of the area and who will be able to explain to you, for about 4 hours the charms of this region, its traditions, its culture, its fauna and its flora.

This activity is ideal to practice throughout the year, you will simply have to bring suitable clothing and comfortable shoes that support your foot and allow you to walk for several kilometers without discomfort.

El Hidalgo de Alarcón Horse Riding is specialized in leisure activities and active tourism so that all those who come to know Cuenca have a good memory and do some exercise in a natural environment.

Our environment has a great cultural and landscape richness, so if you come you will not only discover interesting and surprising places, but you will also be able to learn the magic of Alarcón from the hand of our guides.

The horse riding routes through Alarcón have different levels and durations, since what we always want is to adapt to our clients and make you feel at home.

• Short horse riding routes. These itineraries have a 2-hour journey, where you can discover the cultivated fields as well as forest areas in the gorges of Alarcón. It is ideal for those who have never done this activity, since you will not get too tired.

• Half-day routes. These excursions lasting about 4 hours will take you along the riverbed that leaves the Júcar along the gorges of Alarcón. We will go up through the Pinares del Puntal del Cura and we will reach villages, such as Mulatones. During the tour you will be able to see medieval towers, roads and Roman bridges.

• Full-day horse riding routes. This excursion will last 8 hours, where we will travel 32 km. It is ideal for those who have experience in this activity. We will stop to eat and take a break for about 2 hours. We will see wooded areas, the gorges of the Júcar river, we will go up through the Cañada Real de Andalucía to the Sierra de Cuenca and we will return to our starting point.

Our activities in nature are characterized by the landscape that can be enjoyed while they are carried out. A place that will fill us with peace and tranquility while we spend a fun day in good company.

Alarcón is a charming town surrounded by the Júcar river and its famous gorges. The places are unbeatable to enjoy a dip in summer and incredible routes during the rest of the year.

For this reason, with the BTT we recommend that you do the route that we propose: "Pedaling through the Middle Ages", a route with which you will discover everything related to the history of our region. Monuments, cobbled streets, paths that surround the town ... you can't miss it!
