Description of Indian Sport

At Indian Sport we like to go beyond adventure to correspond to our vision of outdoor leisure because our intention is for you to experience sport with the same intensity with which we do it, always contributing something more instead of limiting ourselves to you doing a canoe route or a climbing section.

For this we use several locations that have been chosen for their natural qualities, such as:

- Ardales Park: although Malaga is popular for its coast, if we move a little towards the center of the province, inland, we find a set of landscapes that will surely be a surprise for the visitor. . Here, in the Guadalhorce reservoir, for example, is where our kayak routes take place.

- The Playa de la Perla Nautical Base: we also have a beach and since we were not going to give it up we wanted to make it special by installing our Mediterranean base in an area that is protected by rocks. In addition to navigation, it is the best place for birthdays and special days for companies.

- The Caves of San Marcos: we return to the interior and in the northern mountains we find this place with the Genil River as the protagonist. This is where we focus on those forms of navigation that whitewater has in common.

From Malaga: On the A-357 road, go towards Campillos, take the 2nd exit for Ardales and enter the MA5403 Km. 0 road towards reservoirs and after Km. 5, join the Guadalhorce Dam Service Road (paved). , continuing straight, looking for the signs announcing the Camping Parque Ardales located on the left and finally we leave the paved Service Road on the left, which is indicated by a sign with a yellow-orange canoe placed as a lure. Description of Indian Sport Canoe Kayak

Checking the behavior of a canoe in different types of scenarios is possible with the proposals that we have put together at Indian Sport.

We believe that everyone has the right to enjoy them with an option that is not excessive but not boring either, which is why we have no problem changing from the interior to the coast if that is what you feel like using:

- Routes around Benalmádena: imagine all the beauty of the Mediterranean on a walk in which we will follow the instructor's instructions to discover the most interesting points of these beaches dotted with small rocks that make them less susceptible to waves and weather.

- Free canoe rental in the Chorro Reservoir: first think about the capacity of the boat you want because between one and three people can travel in them. Minors may also be part of the group accompanying adults in the same canoe. In the reservoir you can also follow a guided route.

- Courses in calm and white waters: if you don't want to stay in a loop, you can learn the techniques required in these boats to move both in the absence of current and in rivers with rapids.

Description of Indian Sport Hiking

At Indian Sport we want to show you that the province of Malaga is much more than a beach and it won't take you long to realize it with any of the hiking routes that we carry out from Ardales Park. Why is this place special?

- It is a landscape made up of a mixture of mountain scenes, as it is close to the Gaitanes Gorge, and water with the Guadalhorce reservoir. In addition, tourists do not come here en masse so the tranquility will be absolute.

- While we walk, if we do it bordering the swamp, we will see that there are many species of birds, for example, that have taken advantage of it to make this their habitat. Herons will be a common image on your itinerary.

- Leaving the reservoir aside, we can enter the mountain where the pine forests extend, providing pleasant shade during our excursion. It may be a good time to sit down and rest a little and eat something that we have carried in our backpack.

- A hundred meters above the ground awaits us a step that aims to overcome the obstacle posed by the Guadalhorce riverbed, its name is the Caminito del Rey and it is a most pleasant surprise for walkers .

Description of Indian Sport Climbing

With Indian Sport you will learn to climb with conditions that are difficult to repeat because we give you several alternatives without leaving the same location in El Chorro, the name by which the Gaitanes Desfiladero area is also known. This point serves as a meeting point for climbers from all over the continent due to the verticality of its mountains.

To get started in sport climbing we have developed lessons under several approaches:

- At Camping Parque Ardales: where we will try the climbing wall on a day that begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. It is possible to participate from 8 years old, with a reduced rate for children and young people up to 15. In addition, you will also have the ticket to stay the rest of the time in the Park.

- On natural rock: over half a day we will also focus on laying the foundations of sport climbing but on this occasion we will do it directly in El Chorro, testing on the ground what we need to be able to ascend our own means.

Description of Indian Sport Archery

The Nature Activities Center that we at Indian Sport have in Parque Ardales does a lot. If you come to spend the day, one of the games played outdoors is archery. We recommend that you try it with someone else since the way to get the most out of this challenge is to compete with someone you know.

For archery in this part of the interior of the province of Malaga we will simply need:

- A brief initial meeting: in which we will discuss how to use the basic material, bow and arrows. We will also pay attention to safety measures by drawing a line parallel to the targets that we will take into account when determining the direction of the shot. It is essential that we only shoot towards the front, first making sure that there is no one moving around the place where we are shooting. Description of Indian Sport Abseiling

At Indian Sport we are ready and waiting for you to find the best way to rappel to adapt it to any of the other disciplines you practice or for pure fun. If you are usually one of those who choose to descend canyons, climb, or explore underground worlds, you will know that rappelling is an essential technique when it comes to overcoming large slopes.

- Where do we practice it?: we will take you rappelling to the Adventure Center we have in Parque Ardales. Here the necessary outdoor conditions are provided for you to begin climbing down using ropes, but we can also make more controlled use of this technique in the climbing tower in our facilities. Afterwards, you will surely feel much more comfortable when you move to the natural rock.

- What does it consist of?: the first thing we will do is attach a harness to your waist and hips that will be your main connection point with the ropes that will keep you restrained during the activity. These ropes are managed directly by one of the instructors and they will explain to you how, from a top or certain height, to support yourself by taking small steps with your feet until you reach the ground while releasing the rope.

Description of Indian Sport Orienteering

At Indian Sport we are not satisfied with offering the same plans when a school group, or even a company, visits us. For this reason, one of the activities that we most recommend to do in large groups is orientation.

Thanks to the advantage of the location of our facilities, in the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, we have more than enough room to configure a complete test that includes all the variants that serve the participants to learn issues that they can later use on an individual level. Therefore, in an orientation day you will find:

- A first meeting with all participants at the starting line. It will be at that same moment that we will give the rules that must be respected during the test, we will distribute the support material, such as maps and compass, and we will establish which points will have to be passed to achieve victory.

- In small groups of several participants we will follow the clues that lead us to each beacon. It will be then when the map will be essential for us to know where we have to move. This is a very beneficial type of game to work on students' spatial ability.

Description of Indian Sport Kayaking

At Indian Sport we are going to discover how easy it is to get into a kayak and move with it as if you have been doing it all your life. One of their best features is that they are prepared to empty themselves as they fill with water, so you can rest assured that you are not going to sink!

Kayaking also allows for various ways of practicing it and, since we did not want to stop halfway, with us you can try practically all of them:

- In the Conde de Guadalhorce reservoir: the most leisurely way to move since the waters of the reservoir are permanently calm and will not hinder your movement.

- In the Mediterranean: we head straight into the sea to explore the coastline following the limits of Benalmádena. The waves will add fun but not danger because it is a fairly sheltered area.

- In white water in the Genil River: for which we will use the open kayak. In this case we will have to remain very attentive to the currents and rapids that we will find in its channel, although they are of limited complexity.

Description of Indian Sport Canoeing

With Indian Sport you will finally know the difference between a canoe and other similar boats. You should know that, in this case, we only use a single-blade shovel. Having said that, it is time to start sailing:

- You will have the opportunity to share it with another person so you don't have to make the journey alone. Furthermore, the cooperation of the two crew members is important when moving, since they will have to coordinate their movements with the oar to move forward, turn or brake. If you prefer, you can travel individually or add more excitement in three-person canoes.

- In the case of two- or three-seater boats, a minor can be carried among the participants. You won't need to carry the paddle but you will still enjoy the ride on the water.

- You can rent them in the Pantano del Chorro, deciding if you want 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours. Even if you spend the maximum amount of time in the canoes, you will be comfortable because they have a backrest. Your small belongings will be safe in the waterproof container that we will provide.

Description of Indian Sport Rafting

Rafting cannot be absent from your adventures since looking at the river from the front and seeing the one that is coming over you produces sensations that are difficult to match. When you also check that you are totally safe and that your boat is able to continue rocking on the water without giving any indication of capsizing, you are amazed!

At Indian Sport we know it and how we want you to repeat completely changing your experience each time, we have created:

- Classic rafting for families : on the Genil river we have designed an itinerary in which you can participate from the age of 10. It is low in difficulty but not in fun and its 5 kilometers of route are perfect for a first contact with the white waters. Before the descent, which will be 90 minutes, we will prepare for an additional hour to know how to behave on the raft. The main thing will be to be attentive and let yourself go.

- Rafting with pneumatic donuts : here we go from sharing a large boat in a group to getting alone in front of the river embedded in a donut that will allow us to go down at full speed. You will not be able to shelter in your companions but you can laugh out loud seeing them, and seeing you, turn from one side of the river to the other. The protections that are worn on the body and the paddle are the same as in the traditional descents.
