At La Casa de La Montaña we have adventure sports for all kinds of people. We do activities in nature and we travel the Sierra de Guadarrama from beginning to end as well as other places in the surroundings.

The activities we do will depend a lot on the time of year. In winter we usually do Ski and Snowboard on the best slopes in the area. We also have a perfect activity for those looking for new adventures: snowshoeing through the mountains .

But if you really want to spend a day in connection with nature, we will prepare a route on horseback or on foot through the entire Sierra de Guadarrama , the Lozoya river and even by Pedriza . We can also go BTT to these places or look for new areas so that you have a great day and get to fully enjoy the environment.

Although for those who want to feel something very special we have a unique option: to rise above the area in a two-seater paraglider and feel the force of the wind.

Another way to ascend and enjoy the heights is with a climbing day, which we will also do on special expeditions going to the Pyrenees or the Canary Islands.

Throughout the year we prepare multi-adventure camps for children, they can enjoy all these activities and spend a weekend or a whole week in the middle of nature.

Description of La Casa de la Montaña Paragliding

Do you want to rise through the air? With La Casa De La Montaña you can participate in an incredible day in which you will get to touch the clouds. It is not a dangerous sport although it takes courage to do it since you will rise and you will have to control your vertigo.

The flight we do is in a two-seater paraglider , lasts about 25 minutes but the complete activity is somewhat longer. Also if you want to keep flying you can hire fractions of 15 minutes and continue enjoying from the air.

The area that you will see from the heights is, mainly, the Sierra de Guadarrama . You will distinguish certain places such as the Valle de Lozoya or Somosierra. If time permits, we can also distinguish the locality of Cebreros and a large number of species raptors will accompany you on this aerial tour.

So that you never ever forget this day, we will give you a photo report before, during and after the flight. Although it will be an experience that you will always remember, with the photos you can show off to your friends and acquaintances and convince them to also fly on your next adventure.

We help you become a ski professional. At La Casa de la Montaña we have planned courses and activities for you to learn to use skis and to move with them in any situation.

We give you both individual and group classes. Even so, we always do personalized classes and we will give you the necessary training without stopping to assist you for a single moment. You can choose the hours you want or, if you are in a bit more hurry to learn, we will propose an express course that you will do in just one weekend .

In addition to the classes, we will propose other activities in which you will use the skis in a different way. We will go on a trekking or practice a Nordic skiing with which you can come in a somewhat larger group. These options are ideal to complete your tourist visit and spend a day in the mountains exploring the best landscapes.

Are you looking for something different? At La Casa de La Montaña we want to take you to unexplored corners using snowshoes. With these shoes you will go anywhere and you will feel like an Eskimo walking on the snow.

The routes that we will do are in different places to admire incredible landscapes. The most special for us is the path that leads to the Lagunas de Peñalara or the one that runs through the interior of the forests of Pico el Lobo . It is not the only peak we will go to because we will also try to reach the top of Nevero .

Another mountain we usually go to is Loma del Noruego , an impressive place that will make you enjoy the best snow.

It is necessary to have a certain capacity to endure these routes. If you have it but you want to perfect your technique a little before going to the mountains, we propose an initiation course to get around without problems with snowshoes.

Do you like snow sports? Do you want to practice a really fun one? We organize snowboarding courses and activities so that both the little ones and the older ones can enjoy without equal.

The snowboard can be left for you at La Casa de La Montaña, although we always recommend bringing your own to descend further to your liking. You also have to come with sunglasses and appropriate clothing since you have to protect yourself from the cold since you will spend many hours in the snow.

If you know how to ski or practice a similar sport such as surfing or skateboarding, snowboarding is sure to be much easier for you. It is not an activity with much complexity, even experts say that it is easier than skiing, but it requires your technique.

When you manage to control the movements you will surely start to have a lot of fun. Our monitors will be watching you so do not hesitate to take a risk and go down the slope for the most incredible descents.

Description of La Casa de la Montaña Mountain Biking

Dare to challenge the mountain using a bicycle that will reach all the places you can imagine. We have routes to different places in Spain, not only in Rascafría so keep on finding one that you like.

In the Sierra de Guadarrama we do full-day tours. One of the favorite places is the Cuenca Alta del Manzanares Regional Park where we will enjoy the mountains and the river like never before. In this same area we will make excursions that take us to the picturesque Serrano Villages that are in the Lozoya Valley and we will pass through a thousand and one landscapes that you will love.

Outside of this area we also prepare excursions to the Picos de Europa and we will try to complete the most surprising trans-Pyrenean route. There is also a very special bike excursion and it is the one we do on the Camino de Santiago.

To do the tours it is necessary to be a minimum of 4 people s. The maximum group will not have many more participants, only 8, so as not to crowd together and have a good day among the mountains.

We will make you both a guided route and we will give you the possibility of renting just the helmet and the bicycle. Whatever you are, don't wait and come and ride with us on the most incredible paths.

Description of La Casa de la Montaña Climbing

Come climb with La Casa de La Montaña and you will discover new sensations with each step you take up the mountain. Little by little you will see how you are ascending and you will surely feel an incredible emotion when you are about to reach the top.

We usually climb the Sierra de Guadarrama area, which is the one that is closest to our facilities, but we will also travel to other places. We refer to areas outside Madrid such as the Pyrenees and its well-known peaks and also the Canary Islands where there is another type of rock that will surprise you.

To do a climbing group and be able to practice this activity you have to be a minimum of 6 people . The maximum number is 12 and they should be more or less of the same level. If you are thinking of coming with your friends but you have never climbed before, you should not worry because we will start from scratch.

Description of La Casa de la Montaña Hiking

To spend a great day enjoying the environment, it is best to walk it and let the landscapes and forests surround you. We have a wide variety of routes that you can choose from to see which one best suits your needs.

Route through the Lozoya River: We will go to where this magnificent river is born and we will be able to enjoy areas such as the Purgatorio waterfalls. In addition to the background we will have the Navahondillo Circus where we will go if you want to know new landscapes.
Mountain route: if you want to know the highest peaks we will take you to the Mondalindo massif and visit its valleys and landscapes. One of the places that we can enjoy on this route is El Badén , the only place in Spain where there is a peri-glacial valley . We will also find a large number of medieval bridges and the guides will discover all the history that exists along the way.
Route through La Pedriza: this is a complicated route as we will ascend to Peña del Yelomo with its 1770 meters high. It is a circular excursion so we will leave and arrive at the same place.

Although perhaps the most special routes are those of Guadarrama . In this mountain range we will reach countless places such as the Barondillo peak. We will also pass through the Segovian part and we will be able to enjoy beech and birch forests.

Description of La Casa de la Montaña Multi Adventure Camps

Do you need a place to take your children where they can have fun while they learn? Would you like them to learn to respect nature and make new friends? From La Casa de la Montaña we do camps throughout the year so that you can enjoy in the most incredible environment.

The camps are held throughout the year and on different weekends . up to 15 children can participate in each shift and we will divide them according to whether they come in the morning or in the afternoon. The activities are made for children between 4 and 11 years old so if your children are at that age, do not hesitate to bring them and make them live together and have a great time in the mountains.

We will make trails throughout the valley and, depending on the time of year, we can go to do mycological activities and discover the great variety of mushrooms that exist. We will also do canoes in summer, climbing and other adventure sports. Do not forget to pack the most comfortable clothes you have in your suitcase and, just in case, a raincoat to protect yourself from the rain.
