Walking through the countryside is one of the healthiest and most relaxing activities you can do outdoors. If you also have the opportunity to do it in a privileged environment such as the Sierra Nevada National Park, it is clear that you have to sign up for one of the Nevadensis Hiking routes.
These routes can be:
- Normal hiking: tour the fantastic landscapes of the Sierra Nevada in the company of the qualified guide and learn everything there is to know about its vegetation and fauna, but also about other lesser-known aspects such as its History and the tradition and culture of the people of the area.
- High mountain hiking: High mountain hiking is the next phase for hiking fans. As it passes at a higher altitude it is somewhat more tiring, but it has the added bonus that the views are incredible. It is common for snow to be found at such high altitudes all year round, so it is advisable to be well dressed.
All routes are always done in the company of a Nevadensis guide who is an expert in the area. The idea is that in addition to walking and breathing fresh air you can also learn interesting things about the environment.

To get to know the Sierra Nevada National Park in its entirety, a highly recommended option is to take a route in an all-terrain vehicle with the company Nevadensis Rutas 4x4. In this way you can travel a lot of distance in a very short time, and also the traction and power of the vehicle allow you to travel on roads and trails that would be impossible to travel with a normal vehicle, either because they are very steep or because the ground is very uneven. or for any other reason.
Precisely this is the great advantage of all-terrain cars, which can advance through areas through which it would otherwise be impossible to move. They are also a comfortable and relaxed way to tour a certain region, contemplating all the points of interest with the comfort of sitting quietly in the back of a car with heating or air conditioning depending on the time of year.
The routes are done in a Nissan Terrano all-terrain jeep that has a capacity for 6 people. They also include driving and the company of a professional guide who will tell you at all times what there is to see along each route. This activity is perfect for families or groups of friends who also have small children.

In our country there are more and more climbing fans. The reasons given by most are that climbing is a very rewarding and complete sport, which allows you to exercise while enjoying nature and incredible views. This same philosophy is followed by Nevadensis Escalada, a company dedicated to promoting climbing in the Sierra Nevada National Park.
This nature reserve is a very special enclave because it allows you to practice rock climbing and ice climbing in the same place.
- Rock climbing: Nevadensis teaches natural rock climbing courses for people with little or no experience. As the course is aimed at this type of climbers, the program includes explanations that range from the most basic to somewhat more complex techniques. Thus, the first day is taught a little climbing theory and how to set up, dismount and take care of the equipment. From there you can begin to climb the wall little by little, always with help and under the supervision of the certified Nevadensis instructors.
- Ice climbing: Ice climbing is similar to rock climbing, but it has important differences both in terms of the equipment used (ice axes and crampons) and in the climbing techniques . Not in vain, ice is a different surface from rock in which the grip changes, and this forces the climber to move in different ways. Nevadensis offers two ice climbing courses: one for beginners and one for improvement.

If the Sierra Nevada National Park is already beautiful in itself, imagine it covered in snow, especially peaks as high as Mulhacén or Veleta. Thanks to Nevadensis Snowshoes you no longer have to imagine, since you can explore it on snowshoes that will allow you to walk through the snowy landscape without getting tired or sinking excessively.
The rackets are provided by the company itself. They are special shoes that are worn underneath normal shoes. This means that to do a snowshoe route you will only have to wear warm clothes and shoes to spend a day in the snow. As with hiking, snowshoeing is an attitude that can be perfectly adjusted to the physical condition of each walker. All you have to do is vary the route to make it shorter or easier to walk, making snowshoeing an activity suitable for everyone.
You will always go in the company of a Nevadensis instructor who will ensure that you do not have any problems and will guide you and teach you the best way to progress without difficulties.
