Specialized in mountain sports , at Ruau we love that anyone with an adventurous spirit enjoys our outings to the Madrid mountains and surroundings, thus allowing that we show them the most unknown face of the capital through our activities.

The Ruau family is made up of a team of sports technicians who are the maximum guarantee that we offer you. They will be the ones who accompany you to practice your chosen sport, releasing energy and learning more about the environment that surrounds us.

Although we are open to any proposal that you want to make for a day between forests and mountains, we specialize in hiking , canyoning and climbing . It does not matter what level you are at because we carry out from baptisms to more specific courses that will allow you to gain autonomy in the desired practice.

You will not have to worry about the material. We have the safest instruments for each of the sports we practice, so you will only have to come with the appropriate clothing depending on what you are going to do, but as long as it allows you freedom of movement.

In Ruau there is room for everyone, from families wanting new adventures to if you come alone to breathe clean air and release adrenaline. You just have to contact us and ask us about our next adventure.

How could it be otherwise, in Ruau we love doing canyoning, descending through the best canyons and rivers that originate in the mountains, because yes, we love to feel how the Nature shows itself through accidents so that we can have fun in it.

We move between Cuenca , Gredos and Madrid always with our team qualified in mountain sports that will guarantee you the greatest safety. It does not matter if you are a beginner and have descended more than one ravine because we will adapt the exit to your level.

• If you don't want to leave the central area of the country, come to the Somosierra ravine , the only one that you can descend in the Community of Madrid. Very fun especially if we descend it when the river flow is strong, so the level of difficulty can vary. It is not very long but its waterfalls and different rappels make it a lot of fun.

• Already in Gredos we can move to two ravines. The la Hoz , located in Madrigal de la Vera, very close to places like Madrid and Toledo , is perfect to have a great time between its jumps, rappels and pools, and let yourself be carried away by the beauty that runs through it.

• The Arbillas ravine, between Poyales del Hoyo and Arenas de San Pedro, is more appropriate for people who have some practice. Rappels of more than 20 meters, slides of 5 and jumps of 7, it is perfect for a half day among adventurers.

• We move to Cuenca to discover the Júcar and Poyatos ravines. The first is highly recommended to come with children because there is always water and together with the jumps, slides and waterfalls it is great. The one in Poyatos, although also appropriate for everyone, has many rappels that can be more of an effort.

• The climbing baptisms are perfect to discover that this really is your sport. With a duration of about 4 hours and being able to move to different locations according to your preferences, you will learn the basics of this activity, testing both your physical and mental dexterity.

• Go one step further and sign up for our initiation climbing courses . About 8 hours in which you will learn to use the material, the safety techniques and to be a little more autonomous. You can also choose the place, depending on the proximity and the weather.

• For those with a certain level, they will be able to participate in the excursions to Pico de la Miel in La Cabrera or climb in Torreón de los Galayos . The first is a medium-low difficulty while the second is more complete so you will have to have a certain level to climb it. Both large walls that will delight everyone in an incredible day.

To say that Madrid is only busy is like saying that only children can play. At Ruau we know this well because with our hiking routes through the most wonderful places around the mountains you will understand that here it is also possible to breathe the best air while you exercise.

We are specialist mountain technicians so we will know how to adapt each of our routes to the level of each person. You can choose between 4, all of them spectacular in themselves and ready to show you a very different side of the capital.

• La Pedriza . We will travel about 9 km with a drop of 460 m. It is not a great difficulty so you can come in the company of people who do not have an excellent physical level. From Canto Cochino we will go to places as curious as the Charca Verde , the song of El Tolmo or the Chozo Kindelan.

• El Escorial . This route is a medium level, especially due to its unevenness of 711 m. We will be traveling for about 11 km El Romeral , the port of Malagón or El Cervunal . We will have the opportunity to have unsurpassed views of all of Madrid or visit places such as the Rubens cross or the Teja fountain.

• Bosque de la Herrería . Very easy to travel, about 6 km with a drop of 208 m, we will stay at the hermitage of the Virgen de Gracia, in El Escorial, to discover the impressive place of oaks of different types that abound.

• Ascension to the Helm . Nice ascent to the helmet, which we will start from Canto Cochino, we will go up through its chimney and we will visit the blind corral, to later descend towards El Tolmo, to take the Pedriza highway and return to Canto Cochino. .
