Ruta de l´Ermità

We are Ruta de l´Ermità , a group of nature lovers who want you to come and share with us any adventure that takes place on the route that gives us our name.

• Whether on a hiking outing, BTT or horse riding , the important thing is that you enjoy the Cadí Natural Park -Moixeró and everything that this area of Catalonia gives us.

• We provide you with everything that is necessary so that whatever the chosen activity is, you do it safely and without difficulty.

• It is necessary at least some knowledge to use the compass and a map, and of course, an optimal physical condition that guarantees you a smooth day.

• The route is perfectly signposted, so it is suitable for human passage.

• You decide which section to do. We can leave from any of the shelters that are on the way and in how many days you want, being circular there is no such problem.

• Depending on the weather conditions and the snow that covers the road, the route is usually done between April and November.

• Discover the Romanesque monuments housed in this privileged environment surrounded by nature thousands of meters high.

Find the peace you need on our incredible hiking route through the area that gives us its name: the Hermit Route. A magical place located in a privileged environment between Barcelona, Lleida and Gerona .

• The most important thing is that you have a minimum of good physical condition , and know how to guide yourself with maps and a compass. You don't need to be an expert, but you do need to defend yourself with these plugins.

• The departures are usually made from the beginning of April until the end of November . It is a way of guaranteeing good passage through the area.

• As it is a circular section , you can decide from which hostel to leave and in how many days you want to divide the output.

• You can choose between 5 stages , coinciding with the different shelters and depending on what you are looking for and the maximum achievement you want to achieve.

• It is a total distance of 110 kilometers , ascending to a maximum level of 2,252 meters high and a minimum of 806 meters.

• No matter how many days you want to do it, the important thing is to do it safely and with the guarantee that you will live unique moments surrounded by history and nature.

If you are passionate about mountain biking and any MTB route is a goal to achieve, you cannot ignore the outings that we organize in Ruta del Ermitaño through the impressive Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park.

• The important thing is that you bring a good physical condition, capable of reaching very high altitudes without becoming too fatigued.

• They are 168 kilometers to travel, at a maximum altitude of 2520 meters and a minimum of 720 meters. In total, almost 6000 meters of accumulated ascent.

• It is a protected area with a great landscape richness, so we are highly aware of the environment that we want to be part of with you.

• Throughout the entire route, there is a clear red signal that helps us to continue with clear visibility.

• If you prefer to do the tour in several parts, there are several hostel type accommodations that will help you to follow the path resting in unforgettable places.

• Mountain bike routes are usually done between April and November , guaranteeing a suitable climate for the activity.

• It is a unique place, where you will not only enjoy the incredible nature, but also Romanesque monuments and medieval paths.

• Our horses are docile and will make the route comfortable and very pleasant.

• The entire path is signposted, which makes the journey easier.

• The total route that can be done on horseback is just over 80 kilometers , with a maximum ascent of 1710 square meters .

• We recommend having a moderately good physical condition. You don't have to be an expert rider, but it shouldn't cost you.

• The best time for this type of outing is from April to the end of November , to guarantee that there is not excessively snow in the area.

• It is a unique experience both to enjoy nature and to discover the history that is kept alive in the area on the back of these beautiful animals that will make you a pleasant and fun day.
