Signatur is made up of a group of professional ornithologists who are passionate about the mountains and the countryside with long tours and hiking days behind them. They currently organize hiking routes, nature courses and workshops and ornithology plans in the Sierra Madrileña , near Villavieja de Lozoya .

Transmitting the values of nature, promoting environmental education, bringing the rural environment closer and transmitting experiences are its main objective. For this they put at your disposal environmental workshops, nature courses, wildlife observation and interpretive routes.

We recommend:

• Hiking . They organize all kinds of routes, from here we recommend the Cañada Vieja, San Mamés or Pantano Riosequillo routes. They also organize nocturnal routes for the observation of amphibians and routes à la carte, in which you decide the area of the Sierra that you want to know and they design the route. In all of them you will be accompanied by experts who will guide you through the different trails.
• Fauna observation. In particular, they are carried out for direct observation of the Iberian wolf in the province of Zamora, accompanied by the best professionals and guides on the national scene.
• Nature courses designed to teach so that you can transmit the knowledge you have acquired about the diverse Iberian fauna, as well as their traces and other signs of presence.
• Ornithology . One of the options is the observation of the griffon vulture. In winter they suggest you visit the Pedrezuela reservoir to see where the birds of Madrid hibernate. And finally, we recommend his course on birds of prey.

Signatur prepares hiking trails very close to Madrid , in Villavieja del Lozoya and other areas of the Sierra Madrid. They have the following itinerary:

• Old Cañada Route . This path starts from Villavieja del Lozoya through an oak grove where you can see traces of the fox, roe deer, the feared wild boar, hares or the golden eagle. Then you will enter a pine forest crossing streams near the municipality.
• Chorrera de San Mamés . You will leave from Villavieja del Lozoya, you will go through the urbanizations of the town and you will arrive at an oak grove where you will see traces of different animals, from wild boars and roe deer to golden eagles. After ascending a forest track you will arrive at San Mames.
• Riosequillo Swamp . The route will start in Villavieja del Lozoya, from there you will cross a meadow of ash trees and an oak grove to reach the shores of the reservoir. There you can see traces of the fauna of the area ... Otters, wild boars or roe deer ...
• Night route . A night route to see amphibians in La Cabrera for all audiences. You will know where they live, what is their diet and many different species. From nine at night to eleven at night.
• Guided tours on demand . They also organize guided tours for groups of friends in the Sierra de Madrid. Flora and fauna, history and culture… Everything made to measure.

Ornithology or the study of birds in their habitat is on the rise. Signatur prepares and organizes ornithology and animal observation plans in the Sierra de Madrid for the whole family.

Among the courses and routes stand out ...

• Griffon vulture colony . Observation and interpretation of the biology of the griffon vulture. A route through the Sierra Norte de Madrid guided by an expert instructor. The hours will be from nine thirty to two in the afternoon.
• Pedrezuela reservoir . It is an ornithological route of two and a half hours. The best time to do it is in February when thousands of birds return to their winter quarters. The pedrezuela reservoir is the ideal place for winged winters from the Madrid mountains. There are many species that you can see, they will also teach you to identify them and tell you more about them.
• Birds of prey . Everything about the care, management and maintenance of them in Villavieja del Lozoya. It is taught by ornithological experts, before being in contact with the birds they will explain how they work with them, the diet and other information of interest.
