The Grazalema mountain range and the Zahara area of the mountain range have incredible beauty that you can soak up with the hiking routes that we have prepared in Zahara Catur.

We are great lovers of nature and we enjoy showing its secrets to everyone. That is why we have prepared a series of routes for you to discover an incredible area:

• Green Gorge: although it is only 5 kilometers this is one of our most complete routes since you will descend through this gorge more than 400m deep. There you will observe its great scenic beauty where wild flora and fauna such as griffon vultures abound. If you like nature, this is the route you should choose since we will even visit “la Ermita”, a grotto in which rock formations such as stalagmites and stalactites are piled up.

• Llano del ravel: this route is more complex and lasts about 4 hours. We will pass through the Sierra del Pinar arriving at the Pinsapar area. Adequate physical resistance is required since they are almost 10 kilometers full of ups and downs through the mountain

• Pinsapar: this area is one of the highest. You will be able to see great vegetation, especially fir forests. Also from the highest point you will see the Sierra de Ronda and if the day is clear you will see Sierra Nevada. With a duration of 4 hours, this is a simple route but it requires sufficient physical fitness to endure walking for 9.5 kilometers

• Torreón: This route runs through one of the highest mountains in the area. El Torreón is a peak from which you can have unique views of the nearby Sierra de Grazalema. This route is 2.5 kilometers but it is the hardest since most of the way is uphill.

Ride through the Grazalema mountain range with the horses that we have saddled for you at Zahara Catur. This mountain range is full of paths that our animals can cross while you let yourself be amazed by the landscape around you.

It doesn't matter if you have never ridden a horse or if you are a true rider, with us you can explore the mountains with the complete assurance that we will adapt to your tastes and preferences.
The duration of the routes varies from the shortest one hour to routes that will last a whole day.

The horse is fully trained and accustomed to traveling the paths of the Sierra de Grazalema, and will take you through unique areas where you will connect with nature in a very special way.

To ride horses with us you won't have to worry about bringing a helmet or more specific materials since we will leave them for you. What we do recommend is comfortable shoes (boots if possible) and long pants.

To do the routes with Zahara Catur you must gather a group of at least 5 people although if you can't do it you can contact us and we will find a group for you.

Would you like to cross the major mountains of Malaga at full speed? At Zahara Catur we propose a 4X4 route that you will never forget.

Our location allows us to create a series of itineraries through the Sierra de Grazalema Park, a unique landscape to cross enjoying the vegetation and the bumps of the terrain. You can also enjoy the Sierra de Cádiz aboard one of our SUVs traveling through wild routes and paths.

To do this activity you need:

• Be of legal age: we require a minimum of 18 years to be able to drive one of our 4x4s, if you do not have them you can ride as co-pilot with a responsible adult

• Have a driving license: SUVs are a vehicle that requires a B1 license to be able to drive it.

• Group of 6 people: to do the different routes we need a minimum of people to be able to organize them. Gather 6 friends and come with us to explore the most extreme paths in the mountains of Malaga.

This activity is ideal to complete a day of strong emotions and rural tourism in the area. It lasts two hours so don't think twice and come explore the mountain with us.

If you want to test your aim and be able to shoot your arrow in the center of the target, come to our facilities in Zahara de la Sierra and we will teach you how to do it.

Archery is a simple sport to practice competing with your friends or family on a quiet day outdoors. At Zahara Catur we have instructors who will teach you how to hold the bow and aim if you have never practiced this sport. We warn you that it is very addictive and you will only want to repeat it over and over again until you are the one with the most points.

The archery that we have prepared is perfect to do with your friends on a different day. You can also do it with your family since there are no risks and our instructors will ensure that nothing happens to the little ones.

Our archery activity can be done at any time of the year, although on windy days we avoid doing it as the arrow's course may deviate too much.

For 2 or 3 hours you can try to improve your aim with a group of 6 people. Also, if you want to complete your day, stay in our facilities and enjoy our park with Tibetan bridges, zip lines, jumps and much more.

If you are visiting the Sierra de Málaga area you cannot miss the opportunity to go caving with Zahara Catur.

Caving is a surprising activity that is enjoyed by both adults and children. Children can do the most basic routes in which there are no jumps or steep descents as long as they are over 16 years or accompanied by a responsible adult.

With this activity you will tour the underground galleries dressed in a special suit, harnesses and helmet. Experience is required for more complicated routes, but simply having done a similar sport is enough.

If you have no experience and want to enjoy the world underground in a relaxed way, we suggest a visit to the Grotto of Wonders. This cave is adapted to be explored on foot with sections that have facilities such as bridges and wooden floors to prevent anyone from slipping.

The little ones will enjoy the visit and learn how mountains are formed from the inside while having a great time.
