Description of Hides de Calera

The Hides de Calera , in Toledo , are perfect to enjoy photographic hiding places to take photos of nature and birds environment.

Located in the Llanos de Calera and Chozas, there you can find large populations of birds of prey. The fixed Hides are strategically placed so that the annual processions of bustards can be observed making the wheel. There are many species that can be seen in these plains, from birds of prey such as the Aguilucho or the Montagu's Harrier, the Blue Elanio, the Kestrels and Languneros ... In addition to other species such as the imperial eagle that seeks carrion from the cattle in the area.

Bird photography requires time and a lot of patience as well as good material. During the day you will learn about ornithology, you will know the plains of Hides de Calera and you will improve your photographic technique.

We recommend you focus on one species per session: Hides for bustards, Hides for Blue Elanio, Hides for raptors, Hides for photographing Little Bustard, Lesser Kestrel or Volgar, or even other species such as Carracas, Red Partridge, Bee-eaters, Hoopoe, Shrike or the longtail.
