Victoria Cross . In 1942 the Catholic Monarchs reconquered Granada and the reconquest of Spain ended. But when did it all start? It was in the year 722 AD at the Battle of Covadonga, when a caudillo named Don Pelayo, together with a group of men, began the reconquest in the Asturian mountains. During the battle against the Moors he raised a wooden cross that came to be called the Victory Cross. Two hundred years later, King Alfonso III had the cross covered with gold and carved stones, to later donate it to the Cathedral of Oviedo. But recently it has been discovered that the cross behind the gold does not date from 722 AD. Some think that it is hidden in the castle of Gauzón. Will you be able to enter the castle and find it?
