Description of Escuela Náutica Costa Norte

Escuela Náutica Costa Norte we are a sailing school that, for more than 10 years, has been teaching theoretical and practical classes to obtain nautical qualifications.

We have the most competitive rates in Asturias in terms of nautical courses.

The courses that we teach are:

  • Basic navigation pattern: to autonomously govern clutches of up to 8 meters in length for sailing and up to 7.50 m for motorized ones. It is also used to control jet skis. All this without going more than 5 miles from a shelter. We teach face-to-face courses in Gijón and Avilés, which last 2 months, with 4 hours a week.
  • Pleasure craft skipper: to govern pleasure craft up to 12 m in length, whether sailing or motor, as long as it is done at a maximum of 12 miles from the coast. We teach face-to-face courses in Gijón and Avilés. They are theoretical and practical classes that are given in a course that lasts 2 months, 4 hours per week.
  • Yacht skipper: with which you can steer boats up to 20 m in length. They can be sailing or motorized, but an area within 60 miles from the coast must be respected, and also to navigate inter-peninsular in the Balearic and Canary Islands. It also serves to govern jet skis.
  • Yacht Captain: allows you to steer sailing or motor boats without limits.
