El picacho surfshop

Get started in the world of surfing with El Picacho Surfshop and enjoy a unique experience. We are located in Medano, Tenerife and in our school you can find both surfing and bodyboarding classes. We enjoy wonderful weather conditions and instructor staff.

The instructors have the necessary qualifications and sufficient capacity to make you a good surfer so that you can enjoy an unforgettable experience.

We have different learning courses:

• Basic Course for 1 to 3 students: There will be one to three students per instructor with a duration of two hours which will be divided as follows. First of all, a basic knowledge of surfing equipment will be given. Later the theory will be taught on the beach and the students will enter the sea where they will gain confidence. Finally they will try to stand up on their boards.

• Basic Course for 4 to 6 students: groups will be made up of four to six students with a duration of two and a quarter hours. Students will go into the water in groups of three for greater learning and greater safety. The structure of the class will be as follows; First, the students will put on their wetsuits, later they will receive a theoretical class in the sand and will jump into the water in groups. While some are in the water, the others will practice on the beach.

• Special 5-day course:

Day 1: The use of the material will be explained to the students.
Day 2: theory and practice will be deepened.
Day 3: Depending on each student, they will get up on the board or try.
Day 4: The students' first turns will begin.
Day 5: what was learned will be perfected.
