In To the Cape Approach we move through the volcanic landscapes of the Natural Park, both maritime and land, of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar. We are in an unrepeatable location that separates the northern Iberian peninsula from the African continent. This means the coexistence of more than 200 marine plant species and one thousand on the mainland legally protected.
You can take a walk and get to know it through the different formulas we have prepared for it:
- Trips to Cala de San Pedro : to get to know your unknown beach for a fee that includes both the round trip to this point.
- Guided boat tours : 1 hour for the whole family on motorized boats that give us easy access to the caves and cliffs in the area.
- Paddle surf and kayak rental : to navigate in any of these two modes with rates for a minimum of 120 minutes and a maximum of one day.
We also offer snorkeling equipment so you can take it on any of your expeditions and take a look under the water.
The Natural Park of Cabo de Gata Níjar is the stage in which from To the Cape Approach we develop our activities. The choice of this point is not accidental since we are looking for places that retain their natural essence and that do not suffer from large tourist agglomerations so that you can disconnect during your days off.
The kayaks that make up our fleet belong to the BIC brand and, being self-emptying, give you security even if you completely lack experience in this type of navigation. You can embark alone or with another one as they are both one and two seats .
These light boats are the easiest way to get close to the coves of this part of Almeria that can only be reached using the sea as a route. We offer different rates for single or double kayak for a minimum use of 2 hours . If you wish to use it for longer, we also accept reservations for part-time or full-day.
At the time of the collection of the equipment we will provide you with the paddle and safety elements that you must carry with you. Take the opportunity to listen to our explanations and recommendations and you will get the most out of the experience.
In To the Cape Approach we will show you the less crowded points of the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata with our boat trips. In these barely explored corners where traditional tourism does not reach the landscapes remain unchanged highlighting all its richness and exceptional beauty.
The guided boat routes that we organize have the mission of taking you to the shores of Níjar whose greatest peculiarity is its volcanic origin. It is composed of numerous cavities, reefs that can only be seen accessing from the sea, still virgin coves and areas of large cliffs. They have an average duration of 1 hour on board.
Our crossings are made with a guide that acts as the ship's patron and who is in charge of telling you the keys of those places through which we are passing. However you can also have one of our boats renting it for your personal use. Tell us first if you have a nautical qualification to put you in front of it. With that information we can provide you with one of the appropriate length or think of those that do not require qualification for an exit with a certain autonomy.
In To the Cape Approach we use the least invasive activities for the environment with the objective of knowing the area of the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata Níjar without exerting a negative impact on it. With this vision we have managed to share with you the most unique places in the area using paddle surf boards.
The stand up paddle allows us a calm and simple navigation and, whenever we find the sea calm, suitable for all ages and levels. It can also be practiced if the swell is greater but you will need some experience. We will stand on the board with an oar intended to help our movement and turn in the direction we want to take to reach the best coves and cliffs of the Almeria coast.
We have inflatable boards of 40 inches that are very stable and comfortable if we want to go out with children. We also suggest that you take advantage of this geographical framework for a relaxing yoga session using the table as a base since it remains without problems on the sea surface.
Anyone who wishes may use one of our BIC tables of rigid material that also adapts smoothly to an initiation walk.
