The Náutica Ballestrinque is not only at your disposal to teach you classes in which you will learn to sail, we also offer other services with which you can enjoy the Cantabrian Sea and the town of Laredo , Cantabria, in multiple ways, visiting places with wonderful landscapes that are not usually touristy.

Some of our activities are:

- Sailboat navigation school: we prepare you through professionals to obtain the degree you need with the theoretical and practical blocks required by law and private lessons to adapt to the time you have available. In a first phase you will be able to train to access the Navigation License for pleasure boats with a length of up to 6 meters.

In the event that you want to become a Basic Sailing Skipper you will be able to take charge of lengths below 8 meters taking into account that you will not be able to leave a distance of a maximum of 5 miles from the coast or port. We also take care of teaching in the rest of the levels such as the Recreational Boat Skipper (PER) , one of the most requested titles for lengths up to 15 meters, the Yacht Skipper and Yacht Captain as maximum graduations.

- Boat trips: our boat routes will take you through the most beautiful places in all of Laredo, not only the most typical tourist ones, but also the unknown ones, but just as beautiful.

- Organization of bachelor parties: parties on our boats, drink, musician and everything you require for the celebration to be as you wish.

- Team building: sessions created especially for company teams in which the objective will be to create stronger ties between all members.

With Náutica Ballestrinque you will be able to learn sailing in the most comfortable and easy way possible for you. Our team of professionals will adapt to your schedules so that you can take time so that you can make your passion for sailing, the sea and nature come true.

Our classes are theoretical-practical. It is necessary to retain the theory of navigation as it involves a lot of knowledge about nature, such as weather, wind, etc. Therefore we make a mix so that you memorize and understand that knowledge that you will later apply in the open sea.

Our courses are:

- Yacht Skipper: short course in which you will learn intensively to handle a yacht at sea without any problem.

- Recreational Boat Skipper: intensive course in which you will do 16 hours of practice at sea with a motor.

- Basic Navigation Pattern: complete course but at an initiation level so that you have a general knowledge about navigation.

- Sailing Practices: once you are ready, this course is perfect to do directly only classes at sea.

The practical classes are held on board the school ship, a 2006 Bavaria 39 dispatched for ocean navigation.

A boat fully equipped with the best radio communications equipment, both short and long range and with all the necessary safety equipment.

And as a novelty Recreation CRAFT PATTERN Expansion Practices (PER) , extra practices of 24 hours of uninterrupted navigation, which will give you greater attributions.

Náutica Ballestrinque offers the possibility of enjoying a half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) outing in which to enjoy the beauty of the sea as well as the magnificent coastline that surrounds it.

The departures are totally personalized , the schedules are indicative, and it is possible to organize weekend or full-week departures.

Catering can be hired at all outings, consisting of a small snack with select products, Iberian Ham, Cheese Board, Cantabrian Anchovies and homemade potato omelette, as well as drinks.

From Laredo we can leave for the safest sighting point, past the Bay of Biscay. After several hours of navigation, we will reach migratory itineraries that fin whales and dolphins use throughout most of the times of the year. We will do it in our boats that meet the following requirements:

- Depending on our length, we can transport up to 12 people at the same time. Count on it for group expeditions and take advantage of a celebration in which contact with marine animals will be the protagonist.

- We will make outings of at least 4 hours that can be extended the whole day if you have enough time. It is the option that we recommend so that we have plenty of room to reach the destination where the chances of a successful sighting multiply.
