Canoes in the Riosequillo reservoir, 1 hour, May-Oct

Madrid may not have a beach, but it does have some wonderful swamps and reservoirs where you can get lost and experience a day of adventure. One of these swamps is that of Riosequillo, near the Sierra de Guadarrama. You can explore its waters with a one hour ride in a canoe with us.

The reservoir, whose waters belong to the Lozoya River, has a capacity of approximately 1,000 meters in length, so space for rowing will not be a problem. In turn, it is a fantastic destination to do this type of sport. Thanks to the fact that you will hardly encounter resistance, the current is very smooth, with simple movements, you will be able to move.

To make the crossing through the reservoir you can choose between two types of boat, double or triple. The triple is advisable if you come with small children, where they will have to sit in the middle seat. So, you won't have to worry, it will be safe between two adults.

In addition to the obvious vegetation that is home to this area of the Madrid mountains, if you are attentive you will be able to observe fish such as the barbel, trout, carp and crucian carp. If you want to enjoy a natural space near Madrid, this is your route.
