Canyoning through rural Madeira (Beginners)

Have you ever done canyoning? Whatever your answer, if you like sports challenges, we have the perfect activity for you. Madeira is one of the best locations for canyoning and therefore, you will not want to miss this adventure on your visit to the island.

Enjoy a stimulating sport for about 4 hours of learning for beginners. If you already have experience in canyoning, don't worry, our professional instructors will adapt the difficulty of the route according to the general level of each group. We recommend this activity for people over 12 years old.

You can do rappelling, sliding and supervised jumps in the ravines of the island with total safety. Come and discover the nature of the most rural and colorful Madeira during a walk of about 15 minutes until you reach the beginning of the canyon, where the water flows throughout the year.

The canyon is hidden in an incredible valley that you will not be able to forget. There we can do 5 different rappels up to 13 meters high, 2 water slides and, for the bravest, 2 small jumps. Once we have covered the entire canyon, we will walk for about 10 minutes until we return to the starting point.

The trees that we will see throughout the excursion are covered in magical moss. We will also find endemic plants declared World Heritage by UNESCO, such as fennel, also called 'funcho' (which gives its name to the capital of the island, Funchal) .
