If you are a lover of speleology and you like to discover the constructions that are hidden underground, you are in the right place.

In Portugal, near the natural park of Serra de Estrelais found one of the most important mining reserves in the country. It is an abandoned mining operation that came alive at the end of the sixties, more than 50 years ago.

Quinta da Minas da Recheira was famous for its exploitation and extraction of tin and tungsten and has now been converted into a large-scale museum where visitors will learn all about the work of their ancestors .

This visit has both a scientific and educational purpose, suitable for anyone curious to see what is hidden behind the caves of the mine. You will enter the reserve, surrounded by an unbeatable natural landscape, and you will visit the mining interpretation center, in addition to visiting one of these galleries full of history.

For 1 hour, a guide will accompany you and explain in detail each hidden corner in this old mining operation. We will give you the necessary equipment (vest and helmet) and you will take a souvenir at the end of the visit so that you never forget how incredible it is to visit the interior of a mine.
