Come to the municipality of Banyeres de Mariola, in Alicante, and here you'll enjoy a fantastic hiking tour. You can come with your family and friends to explore together a historical landscape by following the river stream.
Specifically, we'll hike through the Ruta de Los Molinos (The Windmills Route), by the Vinalopó river. This will take us about 2 hours and 30 minutes. We'll also learn about the early days of the paper's industry, in which the windmills —built around the 18th century— played an important role.
Further on, while a professional guide leads the way, the path will bring us to bridges and lakes, as well as to ancient chimneys and an important water supplier that, centuries ago, distributed water to the neighbouring localities. We'll also visit the interpretation centre of Molí Pont.
