Hiking on the Chorro de Navalucillos route

We offer you to perform a trekking activity performing "ruta del Chorro" in Navalucillos, which belongs to the National Park of Cabañeros, one of the most important areas of nature reserve in the entire Castilla-La Mancha. It is also the second most visited in the province of Ciudad Real, after Tablas de Daimiel.

Our route is linear with a total 5 miles. The difficulty is medium-low, mixing the plain areas with some more complicated access, and it has a slope of 130 metres. Our route is located in the surroundings of the Toledo village of Los Navalucillos, main village of the Jara region and so it contains the estates of Los Alares, Robledo del Buey and Valdeazores.

The itinerary starts in the information booth which belongs to the southwestern part of the National Park of Cabañeros. Then. we will go through the paths surrounded by a great and characteristic biodiversity in Montes de Toledo. The typical vegetation are the cork oak, the rockrose or the heather, which correspond to a dry and heat climate, which makes the danger of fire increase in a period of high temperatures.

We will go through the stream of Chorrera Chica, which is colloquially known as "stream of Chorro", we will traverse the branching of the massif of Rocigalgo. In this part of the route there will be sections of difficult access which will become more dangerous than the other part of the route, we will also find a local vegetation typical of a wet climate, due to the fresh of the valley and the water of the stream, so we will find plants such as yew, holly and birch.

As a final touch in the trip, we will go through a mountainous road which starts through different vegetal plantations until arriving to the waterfall with 18-metres fall.
