Hiking on the Chorro de Navalucillos route

We offer you to do the hiking activity doing the Navalucillos jet route, belonging to the Cabañeros National Park, one of the most important natural reserve areas in all of Castilla. The Mancha. In addition, it is the second most visited in the province of Ciudad Real, after Daimiel's boards.

Our route is linear with 9 kilometers in total. The difficulty is medium-low, mixing flat areas with some more complicated accesses, and it has a gap of 130 meters. Our route is located around the Toledo municipality of Los Navalucillos, capital of the region of La Jara and includes the estates of Los Alares, Robledo del Buey and Valdeazores.

The itinerary begins at the information booth belonging to the southwest part of the Cabañeros National Park. Next, we will go along the trails surrounded by a great biodiversity characteristic of the Montes de Toledo. The vegetation that stands out is the cork oak, the cistus or the heather, corresponding to a dry and hot climate, which increases the danger of fire in the season of high temperatures.

We will pass through the Chorrera Chica stream, colloquially known as "the Chorro stream", we will cross the branch of the Rocigalgo massif. In this part of the route there will be sections that are difficult to access that will be somewhat more dangerous than the rest of the route, in addition we will find vegetation characteristic of a humid climate, due to the coolness of the valley and the water of the stream, for what we will find with plants such as yews, hollies and birches.

As a final touch to the excursion, we will walk along a mountainous path that winds its way through various vegetable plantations until we reach the 18-meter waterfall.
