Day of nautical activities on the Matachel river

Enjoy a refreshing day doing water activities during which you will be able to enjoy, amongst other things, a kayaking, paddle-surfing, water zip-line or zodiac tour with birds sighting and a visit to the bird interpretation center at Matachel river. It's an adventure that takes place every weekend!

For the kayaking tour, we wil be using mainstream double seater kayaks, which re a comfortable two-seater models that allow you to share the boat with someone else and paddle together.

Our route starts in Los Chozos de Llera and, from there, we'll head to Hornachos' dam, sailing the waters of the Matachel river.  We'll return afterwards.

While we're kayaking we'll see amazing landscapes such as La Sierra Grande de Hornachos or El paraje de los Pastueros. The perfect backdrop!

It's a SPA area, meaning Special Protection Area, a designation under the European Union Directive on the Conservation of Wild Birds. That's why we'll most likely see some specimens of this kind of animals: different types of herons, black-headed gulls, eagle owls, peregrine falcons, and others.

This route has 4 kilometres in total. Once we've reached the last dam of the route, you can take a break to eat or have a snack. Bring a picnic!

You should bring a swimsuit, sports footwear, cap and sunblock!
