MTB route through the levadas of Madeira (5 hours)

Do you like challenges? Join this mountain bike adventure through the famous levadas (ancient water channels) of Madeira. You will live a day full of adventures mounted on a full suspension MTB .

You can choose between a tour for beginners, less technical, but no less interesting; or enter a tour for experts on the mountain bike. Our professional guides will take care of customizing the route to your liking. The routes will have a maximum distance of 40 kilometers, and will be mainly downhill or on flat terrain.

Our starting point will be Caniço, where a brief explanation will take place with tips and tricks to put into practice during the route. Although the itinerary of the route varies according to the experience and ability of each group, we usually continue with an easy journey of 20 kilometers along the levadas.

We will stop near Camacha, a small town considered the center of wicker crafts on the island. There we will rest and we will be able to have lunch in a very typical bar of the place. Afterwards, we will undertake the 10 kilometer return, a gentle descent that will no longer require any effort.

Get ready for a route that descends from the mountains to the sea, surrounded by pine forests, eucalyptus trees and laurel forest. In addition, the laurel forest has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, you cannot miss it.
