Environmental science camp in Sitges 15 days

Are you between 14 and 17 years old and passionate about science? Would you like to guide your knowledge about it in the environmental world? Then you can not miss our 15-day camp where we will discover the coastline of Sitges and its marine diversity while we practice sports and we face different research challenges that we will develop in these two weeks.

We will thoroughly study the coastline in the Garraf during the first half of July while we snorkel on its beaches and stroll along the coast of Sitges or sail through its coves in a kayak. Thus, we will have the opportunity to know all the native species of the area, as well as the most exotic, studying the importance and effects that these have on the ecosystem.

We can also see the consequences of human activity on the marine environment and the level of pollution, in addition to the modification that the coast has suffered from the creation of dams and the use of dredges to replace sand on beaches.

One of the strengths of the camp will be the organization of a day of scientific dissemination to publicize the studies made in these 15 days using social networks and using the local media to disseminate it. We will also learn to use the Natursfera platform for the identification of species and the importance of participating in local events such as Reciclart.

During the two weeks, we will stay on a full board basis, with all meals included. In addition, they will have the assistance of our specialized monitors who will help them in everything necessary.
