The best mycological excursions are with us in the Pineres region, considered one of the most important mycological areas in Spain. It is a protected natural region located between the provinces of Soria and Burgos and stretches across the Sierra Ibérica.

A thick forest that is home to more than 60 edible species of mushrooms among which boletus, chanterelles, perrochicos, marzuelos and senderillas stand out. With the help of a guide you will be able to recognize all these varieties as they appear on our way. You should know that to collect mushrooms you have to cut the trunk and not uproot it, so you can take it with you in perfect condition.

To carry out this mycological activity it is mandatory to wear comfortable clothing as well as sports shoes or hiking boots. In addition, you will have to bring a basket and knife to keep all the mushrooms you find. The excursion can be in the morning or in the afternoon, lasting 4 hours.

Fantastic excursion with Víctor through the mountains of Soria. Very educational and entertaining, the hours passed without realizing it, he knew how to convey his enthusiasm and respect for nature.

We were also lucky that Marina accompanied us because we were able to share other types of experiences with her.

The guide was not an expert in mushrooms. He was only going to pick mushrooms and some chanterelles. There were other mushrooms that when asked about them he commented that he only collected the few that he knew. The mushroom picking license was not formalized or processed. So we couldn't take out all our baskets and store them in case the guards saw us and asked for them, the guide being the only one carrying them.

For €25 per person it leaves a lot to be desired. To collect mushrooms we had not paid this price, because the 2-day license is cheaper.

In our experience that you can see on our website, we do not explain that we make an assessment of all the mushrooms in the forest and what you ask for.

We understand that there may be some companies that do it and it is what you expected. In fact, we do offer it on a few occasions with groups of more than 10 people in which I am the guide and we do what you tell me. That is, with a price of €50 per person, including a small tasting.

We have had many outings for a few years now and most people have left happy. I understand that you know a little more about the mycological world and you expected more.
