Snowshoeing to Picos de Europa in Valdeón 3 h

The emblematic Picos de Europa are waiting to be covered by us with a snowshoe route that will surprise all our senses. Our snowshoe excursion will be between the Leon regions of Tierra de la Reina and Valdeón, through Puerto de Pandetrave and it will take us between 3 and 4 hours approximately depending on the rhythm of the group.

We will not need anything except to put the route in the navigator and come totally warm with snow clothes, hiking boots, something to eat and drink and sunscreen. We will give you all the necessary technical materials to carry out the snowshoe outing, a hot drink to recharge your batteries and also an expert mountain guide will accompany you throughout the trip.

We will do our snowshoe route around the port of Pandetrave. This, at the same time that our meeting point will also be the starting point, and we will undertake a circular route around the port of Pandetrave to delight ourselves with magnificent views of the Valedón valley.

We will begin our snowshoe route from an exit to the left of Puerto de Pandetrave, near the viewpoint. Our ascent with snowshoes will take us to an altitude of 1562 meters and at such heights we will be able to contemplate in all their splendor the central massif and the western massif of the Picos de Europa. We will cross paths filled with snow and in a short time we will reach the slopes of Gabanceda peak. Once we walk through these places embraced by this great mountain, our return begins.
