If you think that to ascend Mulhacén you need technical knowledge of mountaineering, it is because you are not familiar with our 2-day excursionwith camprones that will allow us to complete this precious top of the Sierra Nevada. It is an activity designed for people who are accustomed to the mountains and who are in good physical shape, since the challenge consists of climbing one of the highest peaks of the Peninsula.
These requirements are essential since we are going to face 23 km of route whose technical difficulty ranges from medium to high , depending on the area in which we meet. Or in other words, we will move at heights between 3,482 meters and 1,540 meters, always following the advice of our experienced guide.
We begin our snowy adventure at the La Cebadilla power plant to set off on our way to the Poqueira Refuge along the river with the same name. This will be the moment in which we will be taught theoretical knowledge about this way of walking on the snow. And it will be the next day when we put into practice everything we have learned. Using the route marked by the Mulhacén River to reach our goal.
Putting boots on our boots improves our grip on snowy surfaces, so they become the ideal complement for winter hiking. In addition to this material, we provide you with a helmet, an ice ax and snowshoes.
However, in order for you to be properly equipped, you must bring your own sticks, clothing suitable for low temperatures, gloves, a hat, a backpack to transport water and food, mountaineering glasses, sun cream and lip balm.
*A minimum of 4 participants per group is needed for the activity to take place.
