Description of Via Ferrata in Beyu through the Cave in Asturias
We suggest you do one of the most challenging via ferrata in the Asturian region: the via ferrata in El Beyu through the Cave.
To reach this via ferrata, we will cross different sections of cable stairs that will allow us to overcome the walls that we will face. In case the activity gets complicated and you do not want to continue, there will be two escape exits that you can use.
Then we will reach our objective: it is a 160-meter route, which is made up of collapsed walls that will test your physical condition and your ability to concentrate. The last section will take place through a wooded area with a vertical ridge. When we finish the via ferrata, we will have to cross a suspension bridge and go down to the abandoned town of Rubriellos.
Some obstacles that you will have to overcome are, in addition to the collapse, steps that are far from each other and natural grips. You will need strength and flexibility in equal parts!
We do not recommend doing the activity to people without experience or those who suffer from vertigo since much of the route is done at 600 meters above sea level.
