Finca Albahaca

Finca Albahaca is a Farm School especially aware of the importance of environmental education. That is why we show our facilities to school groups throughout the year so that they learn everything possible about respect for nature after having been with us.

We fill our agenda during the course and on vacation to:

• Hosting group excursions: for educational centers and associations in half-day experiences with country breakfast in which we will be with the participants from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You can also spend the entire day until 4 p.m., adding lunch before returning home.

• Cultural visits: from Seville's Aljarafe we have access to the capital to take an approach to its neighborhoods and historical buildings.

• Summer camps and schools: with overnight stays or until 2 p.m. aimed at children from 5 years old to 12.

• Family Saturdays: it occurs on the first Saturday of the month when we open the doors so you can visit us individually.

• Celebrations: we have space for you to arrange with us those events that you want to wrap in a natural environment.

From the Finca Albahaca Farm School we carry out environmental education work with which we aim to bring students closer to nature and the classic tasks of the countryside. Coinciding with each new school year, we review our programs to turn each excursion into much more than a simple tour of the facilities.

Thus, the school visits that we organize manage to put into practice the concepts that are studied in class with:

- Guided itineraries through the school farm where the little ones will learn about the animals that live there and their characteristics.

- Workshops previously arranged with teachers to determine their topic according to what the students are learning in the classroom at that moment.

- English Farm: where the vocabulary that is related to our activities is also internalized in English so that children expand their knowledge of the language.

- Fun science: we will do experiments that will demonstrate ideas that most of the time you only have the opportunity to see on paper.

There are modalities with a visit and breakfast from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and only with workshops that can be held at the school itself.

Among the many options with which it is possible to enjoy the facilities of Finca Albahaca is our summer school. This program becomes the most special moment of the summer season for the little ones but also gives parents a quality response so that they can continue with their daily tasks when the children are on vacation.

It is celebrated during the first fifteen days of the month of July, welcoming participants daily at 9 a.m. They will remain with us until 2 p.m. There will be an introduction to English that they work so hard at the school so that they do not lose contact and the responsibility and autonomy of those enrolled will be encouraged.

With children from 5 to 12 years old we will address those topics that have a place in a space with these characteristics:

- Plants and animals: we will learn about the species that live on the farm, how they behave, what care they need and what characterizes them.

- Recycling and crafts: we will learn the importance of reusing materials to make other products.

- Natural pharmacy and organic cuisine: we will learn how to use the elements that nature gives us to create healthy remedies and dishes.

The stay at Finca Albahaca is a gift for any child who can finally be in contact with animals in an outdoor space. That's why we offer them to spend several days with us in camps in which they can participate if they are between 5 and 12 years old.

They usually take place at the end of June when school classes have already ended. They have just the right duration, between 3 and 4 days, so that the little ones have their first experience away from home. In these days our qualified monitors will share with them:

- The work of the farm: you will learn about the tasks that a farm of domestic animals and plants requires from the moment the sun rises until the end of the day. They will have the opportunity to participate in some of them, especially in their favorite, caring for animals.

- Nature-related workshops: where you can learn more about plants or cook naturally with handcrafted products. In this sense, emphasis will be placed on the importance of healthy eating.

- Pool, games and evenings: so they can rest after an intense course that has finally given way to summer.
