Finca Albahaca is a Farm School especially aware of the importance of environmental education. For this reason, we show our facilities to school groups throughout the year, seeking to make them learn as much as possible about respect for nature after having been with us.
We occupy our agenda during the course and on vacation to:
Finca Albahaca
Carretera Sanlúcar La Mayor - Olivares, Km. 1,5 Sanlucar La Mayor
From the Farm School Finca Albahaca we carry out environmental education work with which we intend to bring students closer to nature and the classic work of the field. Coinciding with each new school year we review our programs to convert each excursion into much more than just a tour of the facilities.
Thus, the school visits we organize manage to implement the concepts studied in class with:
- Guided itineraries through the school farm where the children will meet the animals that live there and their characteristics.
- Workshops previously arranged with the teachers to determine their subject matter according to what the students are learning in the classroom at that time.
- English Farm : where the vocabulary related to our activities is also internalized in English so that children expand their knowledge of the language.
- Funny science : we will do experiments that will demonstrate the ideas that most of the time only have the opportunity to see on paper.
There are modalities with visit and breakfast from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and only with workshops that can be held in the school itself.

Among the multiple options with which it is possible to enjoy the facilities of Finca Albahaca is our summer school. This program becomes the most special time of the summer season for children but also gives parents a quality response to continue their daily tasks when children are on vacation.
It is celebrated during the first fifteen days of the month of July, receiving the participants daily at 9 a.m. They will stay with us until 2:00 p.m. There will be an English initiation that works so much in the school so that they do not lose contact and the responsibility and autonomy of those enrolled will be encouraged.
With children from 5 to 12 years old we will address those issues that have a place in a space with these characteristics:
- Plants and animals : we will know the species that live on the farm, how they behave, what care they need and what characterizes them.
- Recycling and crafts : We will learn the importance of reusing materials to make other products.
- Natural apothecary and organic cuisine : we will know how to use the elements that nature gives us to create remedies and healthy dishes.

The stay at the Finca Basil is a gift for any child who can finally be in contact with the animals in an outdoor space. That is why we offer them to spend several days with us in camps where they can participate if they are between 5 and 12 years old .
They usually take place at the end of the month of June when the classes at the school have already ended. They have the right duration, between 3 and 4 days, so that the little ones have their first experience away from home. In these days our qualified monitors will share with them:
- The work of the farm : you will know those tasks that a farm of domestic animals and plants requires from the sun rises until the end of the day. They will have the opportunity to participate in some of them especially in their favorite, caring for animals.
- Workshops related to nature : in which to know more about plants or to cook naturally with handmade products. Emphasis will be placed in this regard on the importance of healthy eating.
- Pool, game and evenings : to rest after an intense course that has finally given way to summer.
