4x4 route through Laguna de fuego, San Miguel 4h

Climb aboard an authentic all-terrain vehicle and travel the most hidden and brilliant trails of San Miguel Island through this 4x4 route. For 4 hours you will tour the east of the island, known for its large size within the Azores archipelago and classified as one of the seven natural wonders of Portugal.On this visit, a guide and driver will accompany you to make your trip as complete as possible.

Departure times are 8:30 and 13:30, we will head to the east of the island from our kiosk in Ponta Delgada. There we will get into the 4x4 and head to Laguna de Fuego, one of the greatest natural attractions on the island.

It is the lake at the highest altitude above sea level on the island, but first we will cross towns like San Roque or Lagoa, or even go into the depths of the mountains until we reach La Ventana of Hell.

From there we will roll tothe Salto del Cabrito waterfall, admiring how the river waters fall from the side of the mountain 40 meters high, accompanied by some stairs that lead us to the viewpoint that is located at its peak, from which to admire such a natural spectacle.

From there we will travel to Ribeira Grande, one of the most beautiful cities on the Island, divided by a river and located at the foot of the Atlantic. From this city we will begin the journey back to the center after four hours of incredible views, nature and tourism.
