4x4 route The Strait Wall

In 1939 the Spanish Civil War ended but it would be nothing more than the opening chapter to the Second World War. National intelligence was taking the British pulse through Gibraltar, fearing that it was the start of an invasion at any moment. To defend it and serve the interests of Germany and Italy, the construction of the Strait Wall began.

This trip takes us through Sierra Carbinera from La Línea and San Roque, locations that will be especially cared for with military constructions that will serve to put an end to a possible takeover of the country by those who were considered enemies. During the visit, we will discuss historical concepts that will be illustrated by the environment itself.

We will see on this walk:

- An impressive tunnel under the mountains half a kilometer long.
- The bunkers of different formulas that were used.
- The Command Post from which decisions were made.

It is advisable that you bring a flashlight so as not to miss any detail, water and something to eat.
